The Schuhplattler Dance
How do you guys make the most perfect taunts ever?
Also, quick question, why is this taunt so long, it seems so long that you're just sort of overkilling it...


I thought it could only be 5 seconds?

Well, the FAQ says taunts are usually 3-5 secs long, but the max you can upload is 10 secs. Having this animation in 5 seconds is tough, it would either need to be cut (would look incomplete), or would need to be sped up (would look weird). Thx for the comments :rbiggrin:
YUSH, this taunt need need to be in the game for the medic, I can't wait to buy this one

also, for the dev, maybe you could make it soo that the schuhplattler dance is like the conga?

Valve never added support for stuff that works like conga and racho.

We already have people doing the conga in spawn instead of playing the game... And we also have engineers sentry jumping to the most absurd locations just to rancho for the whole game being useless...

I'd rather not have that :P

before the conga we had idlers in spawn, just waiting on getting items, so there ist not much of a difference now is there?

Conga doubled the amount of people not playing the game...

Here's how I imagine it going down.
3 Medics are on blu, the most important class that NOBODY PLAYS ANYMORE...
Instead of healing people to build up their selected ubers, they all decide to do the taunt... They all sync.

Now you have 3 synced medic dancers that are funny to look at for a few seconds, then annoying because... They're medics and they aren't healing... :spycon:
you guys shoud make an idle / usless taunt for every class :D like a heavy picnic and medic doing tests on the spy head and stuff ^^ I'd be happy then

Nah, the medic will already have this IF... valve starts supporting idle taunts.

Heavy picnic will be the best thing ever gibe de moni boos...
littler faster, then taunt will be gud
I suggest by making it shorter is by making the medic stomp with with right foot twice (the last to before he starts the actually dancing) then cut out when he is about to go on his knees, I only had a couple of looks but I think this will make it not feel uncompleted! sure it's only a like 3 second cut but it can change life and death... Just a suggestion. :P

The loop idea would be kinda useless, he may as well do square dance with a wall
I love this taunt
