General Discussion
This is a discussion for general things you want to mention about the ship but for some reason dont want to do it in the comments. IE what you like, what you hate, problems you noticed, suggestions, requests, etc.

This is also a place to discuss changes to the ship with regards to the change notes if anyone actually reads them.

is there any way you could make a non-laggy ship for laptop players

@[TSU]spacewarrior I wish. I play on a laptop too (2010 macbook pro) and get about 13 fps. The main thing that kills the FPS are the gyros which have very high polygon counts. If you wanted you could remove a vast number of them, but the ship would turn like a war boat in molasses.

Are you going to make an Atmosphere lander of any sort?

Maybe at some point but the addition of planets has rendered my game completely unplayable. Once I can get the game working again I have a lot of ideas :)

I will wait patiently for the day SE is playable enough for you to make yet more amazing ships. :)

the ship is huge. where is the lounge room?
Avaslash  [developer] 30 Apr, 2016 @ 9:51pm
@JackHero1 there are a few. One is actually the "observation deck" they are through the doors by the central reactor room. There should be a text pannel over them saying "Observation Deck" The other one is connected to the crew areas. When you walk throug the "ribbed" hallway there should be two doors on your left and right, and one in front of you. Go through either of the doors on your left and right and you will enter the lounge.

@JackHero1 And its actually only slightly larger than the red ship. I just utilized space really effectively.

I've found that if lights of different color overlap then it causes a rather large amount of lag because the game can't mix colors already in the ship, it can only mix colors from the light itself

It has been a long time since I played SE, but I recently started again. I've seen that my favourite ship has been updated, so I checked it out. I liked how the lights were turned down, so the corridors are no longer blindingly lit. Some nice minor improvements too, like the extending walkway landing. But my favourite new feature is the effing HOLOGRAM TABLE. Pure awesomness. I thought that was only achievable through mods...

Haha thanks man! Im glad you liked it. Ive made a lot of changes to the ship. A lot of them arent very noticeable but I try my best to strive towards perfection haha. The hologram table is a fun feature. Did you see the new HUD in the captains cockpit?

Looking at it right now. So much creativity in one ship...

OK after all the testing of Kaikohuru and Mikaras (both space and airspace modifcations) i've found some suggestions about what can be beneficial to do for this avesome fleet.

1. Mikara FR-2 is, well, not enough atmospheric :) it can not get away from Earth (gets stuck at avg. 6 km altitude with not enough combined thrust to get higher. Maybe it can be good to make it even lighter with sacrifice of some weapons or whatever.

2. all Mikaras have not at all enough retro thrust. i do not say it must be fixed, the craft is nimble enough to simply rotate it and fire retro burn with main thrusters. it... simply somewhat more tricky than most fighters. and yes it's still an ultra-compact craft for a cruiser, non for an spacecraft carrier or stationary bases.

3. maybe it can be great to have a shuttle for Kaikohuru. truly airspace shuttle with capacity of carrying some men, not-so-heavy payloads and some turrets for self-defence? it could fit the Kaikohuru's open deck (one with main airlock). the long-range autonomous scout cruiser must have one imho.
