Absurd Polycount
I was outfitting a ship with these over the last few days, and I realized that my FPS had started to tank really hard. After checking the usual culprits - cleaning up some extraneous spotlights I had for working, deleting a few extra ships I had been toying with, etc - I figured out that the only thing left that could be responsible is what I had been working on: building rooms and hallways with this mod.

So, I did a quick check. I built a 3x3 platform out of light armor, stuck a stock flight seat on it so I could hop on and check triangles. That, by itself, is 736. So, subtract that value from the following.

Platform with...
Sektan suit room: 26,351
Sektan air vent: 17,090
Sektan swall01: 14,688
Sektan swall02: 29,860
Sektan sektan med bay: 12,420
Sektan swall20d1 - ds: 28,604

These values are simply insane. A couple of them would even be insane at 1/5th their values. I can excuse the suit room, to an extent. You won't use many of them, and the complexity of a space suit is going to necessarily require a higher poly count. But a simple wall with some emissive lights on it is over 29,000 polys? Seriously?

For comparison, some unmodded similar components and a couple modded comparisons. Again, on the same platform, so subtract 736 from all values for the polycount of the model by itself:
Standard med bay: 2,934
Standard air vent: 1,320
Interior block: 3,344
Passage block: 1,460
Darth Biomech docking ring (4 clamps and 4 corners): 19,704
Hammerman suit room: 17,999

Again, the suit room is rather excessive, but you won't use many of them. A little concentration of detail there is okay. I can also accept some increase over the standard blocks for a little more detail and sharpness in these modded internals. But we're talking huge, crippling differences here.

I made a copy of the ship I was working on and went through and deleted all of the blocks from this mod. This came to a total of 170 Interior Walls (mostly air vents, SWall01, SWall02, various ends and corners) for my incomplete interior. These 170 Interior Walls accounted for 3,919,171 triangles. Without those 170 interior walls, the ship is just 662,134 triangles.

"But Seff!" you say, "Your ship might be mostly Interior Walls!"

No, it's not. Like I said, I had only put in 170 of these walls so far. I was still blocking in rooms and figuring out where I wanted everything to go. The ship, without anything from this mod, is another 4,491 blocks. They account for a minority of the weight, a minority of the blocks, and a VAST MAJORITY of the polygons.

For an even more extreme example, I have a small corvette where I used only the air vent and medbay to help keep the ship small. Without these two blocks, the corvette is 60,000 triangles. With them, it's 90,000. Two blocks account for 33% of that ship's polygons.

Sektan, please, reduce your polycounts. This is absurd.

Even with a relatively low number of interior walls, framerate hits the floor.

Seconding the urgent request to reduce the polycount.

I also agree these are pretty much unplayable in their current state.

My FPS always drops to around 10, the number of mods I'm using...
So I don't care about the polygon number.

But for players that want to play SE without problems, I agree. Poly count is something most players that play SE would like to keep down, if they want such a nice mod.

This is something I noticed, but as someone with consiterably less computer knowledge I didn't know it was from the walls. I use them heavily on my big ships but now I know this is what is casuing my crazy frame rate drop I probably wont use them as much.
first rule of animation: if you want beautiful graphics you have to say goodbye to performance.
if you subscribe to this mod you also agree to the sacrifice your fps for quality, you can complain but do you really have any right to?

hmm that is not good i wanted to build a ship with 2 to 3 decks with ca 10 to 15 rooms per deck

One can certainly express an oppinion and beg Creator to make reduced poly version. Because its a great looking mod and SE desperatly needs vanilla friendly interior mod packs.
