Suggestions for the mod
If you have any suggestions for the mod, whether that be tech, eras, buildings, units or anything else please let me know in this discussion. This makes it easier for me to go through and read all your suggestions. Thank you.

All those that already commented suggestions please post them here again.

When posting suggestions please state:
-What type of suggestion it is (building, tech, era, etc)
-How it will fit in with the mod
-Any extra details on the suggestion.

Please read through all suggestions to prevent multiple posts of the same thing.

(Unit) Laser Rifles, Plasma, UFO type interceptors, etc. Lots of future tech ideas can be taken from the XCOM franchise. Different weapons for troops. Shotguns (extra streangth) would be interesting as would flamethrowers (extra damage in fortification, jungle, forest, etc).

(Unit) Troop carriers on land and sea. Would move faster than embarkation or just walking.

(Building) Genetic Modification could change your soldiers. Maybe a special promotion is chosen from a list when a genetic lab is built. Some wonders do this already.

(Unit) Robots, Mechs, AI?

(Unit) Wizards or something magical would be interesting for a dark ages/medievil era

(Unit) Some kind of Satellite layer like in beyond earth would open possibilities for many units.

(Terrain) An update to railroads. There are airports already, but I dont remember if they create trade routes between cities.

New Natural Wonders would be awesome, though I know you are focusing on tech not terrain.

Some kind of terraforming would be interesting if you could implement it.

New resources? With new eras and techs, new resources may be needed to build units.

an expanded info era would be great, but nothing too sy-fi. There is almost nothing in the info era. I guess firaxis got lazy. there are many scenarios in the info era and i would like to have more in the era. Thx.

A Post Apocolyptic era. (Blade Runner, Fallout) kind of like a second ancient era.


Revolts in your country, even having whole cities secede and turn into independant states.

I'd like a way to vassalize countries or cities you caputre, similar to puppet cities except you have absolutely no happiness penalty, of course you'd get less benifits for this but it'd be something cool to see.

The ability to break UN Policy acts, such as a embargo with huge negative diplomatic penalties.

Land transport similar to the carrier except for infantry.

All ranged units having at least 2 range.

Make trading a bit more important and have more trade routes.

I would also highly advise to change around some Civs UA's, UU's, and UB's. Some of them just such, while others are rather insane with versatility (Looking at you poland)

More diplomatic options, expanded diplomacy. We only have Friendship, Denounce, and War for major diplomatic options. It'd be cool to see something like Raiding where you can raid a Civ without declaring war for a warmonger penaties and other such things.

Well whyd ont you have all the Real-Time Units of today and the past 300 years of Units be put in like during the Industrial Era there could be Sub- Era for the two most powerful civs there is an increase of unit and production capasticty fro the both of them. They also maybe a infulnce war with the highst influce you can win the war with milatry mgith or with influwenza. Also maybe during the Rennsice Era or Classical Era there could be Revolutions, and each civ must some how give what the people need. There could be Disaters such as tornados hiting food or produdtion lines damging your Economy. Which could then lead to a Rebellion AI which tries to influwhence your people to join there new independent civ.

Something which would make this mod better would be a detailed expansion of UN. UN consists of many bodies, and maybe inclusion of these bodies with their benefits and advantages can be a gamechanger. For example:

1. WHO: World Health Organisation which will deal with any sort of famine or food shortage and will provide population growth benefits

2. UNSC: United Nations Security council which can lead to powerful autocratic advantages such as space militarization or war crisis handling between 2 Civs

3. DDC: Doomsday Council which will deal with nuclear proliferations such as nuclear disarmaments for Civs who have already created nukes, a Missile shield pact which a Civ can obtain to block any missile attacks (makes combat more fairer for weak civs without Aeronautic techs)

4. SPECPOL: Special Political and Delocalization Committee: Will deal with who all can have access to strategic resources such as petroleum or uranium (strategic resources can be different also)

Usually once we enter the UN stage, the game becomes very predictable as we know what can happen with upcoming sessions, but if sessions were divided between some bodies, the gameplay can become more strategic and very unpredictable. Im not sure if you will take my suggestion into consideration, but if you do, ill try my best to gather as much information as I can regarding the bodies and their in-depth works.

An interesting thing (or atleast in my opinion) would be having some steampunk elements immersed/blended in with the industrial era; nothing that sticks out screaming, we've added an entire new steampunk era! Just something that immersifies itself with like a few new technologies, probably related to steam power.

(UNIT) Maybe something like an AC-130 Gunship that moved like a normal unit, lost like 5-10 health each turn it wasnt in a city but could only be shot down by AA or jets. The plane could be in one of your new eras with a new tech that could banch from artillery somewhere along the line. It could have a bonus aginst fortified units and units in forts/citadels. To balance it out it could require oil and aluminum. The real things have chaff flares and therefore could have like a (50) evasion. I hope you take my idea into consideration and best of luck on your mod.

(Era) A good era would be Dark Ages before the Medieval Era representing sudden collapse of Empires with good technology. Unhapiness would spread and you would need to construct buildings to stay alive through this age of darkness
