a sudden 20% debuff to manpower and military cap after taking a single 3dev provence seems a little broken. I would suggest either a ramping debuff much like overextension, having tech levels that deduct from the debuff,or not having it at all
If I can figure out which event it is, I'll make sure it doesn't happen that way, because it sounds like I've made a mistake somewhere.
Suddenly going from ~96 force limit to ~75 and the sudden unrest was pretty brutal.
My suggestion now that ive thought about it a bit more is that maybe have it tied to the total development figure instead of provence number, maybe have a modifier for the Duchy, kingdom, empire mechanic the game has
If you were playing Kush, it seems likely that the events are from Extended Timeline.
I like your suggestions, but unfortunately I can't do anything about them. Try posting them in the Extended Timeline thread, and I hope they do something about it
Either way I'm really happy that you reported it, as it might as well have been a problem with this one, and bugs can be hard to find.
I'm sure they'd be just as happy if you left a comment for the creator of Extended Realism, too!
That event has Wallachia become a vassal of i.e. Hungary, which would be alright, if Walachia wasn't already my (Byzantine) vassal.
Is this working as planned? Because I don't think a vassal should just be allowed to switch its overlord. Or at least, its present overlord should be notified and maybe be able to fight it (like with the succession wars).
As soon as the next update is up, it won't happen again.
It's definitely a localisation issue where some old localisation files are being accessed. Commonwealthball was released in 1.13, so it seems likely that Gib Clay has overlooked those files when updating.
Does it occur when only Gib Clay is active, or not?
Another part of this event line is this choice must be repeated every so often, I would choose again to break them free and again they are still bound to me for eternity. Another event also fires that says that Wallachia betrays Poland... for whatever reason I think its all scripted wierd and the events should be fixed or removed in some way.
I'll be looking into ways of clarifying and streamlining them, otherwise they'll go away until I figure out exactyl how to do it.
