Large and huge empire debuff.
a sudden 20% debuff to manpower and military cap after taking a single 3dev provence seems a little broken. I would suggest either a ramping debuff much like overextension, having tech levels that deduct from the debuff,or not having it at all

What event is this? Alternatively, which country where you playing as when it occured? I don't recognise the effects you describe, but it could be cartain conditions has caused an unexpected side effect.
If I can figure out which event it is, I'll make sure it doesn't happen that way, because it sounds like I've made a mistake somewhere.

playing as Kush, I first got a Large Empire event, then later as my empire grew I got a Huge empire event. the large being +1 unrest, -10%tax, +20%stab cost, -20% manpower, -20% force limit. the huge was exactly double those amounts and replace the previous one.

Suddenly going from ~96 force limit to ~75 and the sudden unrest was pretty brutal.

My suggestion now that ive thought about it a bit more is that maybe have it tied to the total development figure instead of provence number, maybe have a modifier for the Duchy, kingdom, empire mechanic the game has

Those events are not from this mod!
If you were playing Kush, it seems likely that the events are from Extended Timeline.

I like your suggestions, but unfortunately I can't do anything about them. Try posting them in the Extended Timeline thread, and I hope they do something about it

Are you using any other mods? I don't think that event comes from HEE, but if you're using any other mods I'll check for compatibility issues.

It's likely to be Extended Realism, as I see it added a ruler trait system just a couple of days ago.

Either way I'm really happy that you reported it, as it might as well have been a problem with this one, and bugs can be hard to find.
I'm sure they'd be just as happy if you left a comment for the creator of Extended Realism, too!

Hey, bug reports are really important to mod makers, but really difficult to get a hold of, so keep up the work either way. With any other event it could have been this mod, so never regret reporting something you came across!

I have an issue with the "our Overlord" event/ decision for Walachia/Moldavia.
That event has Wallachia become a vassal of i.e. Hungary, which would be alright, if Walachia wasn't already my (Byzantine) vassal.
Is this working as planned? Because I don't think a vassal should just be allowed to switch its overlord. Or at least, its present overlord should be notified and maybe be able to fight it (like with the succession wars).

Good news, I've already been working on that event chain so that it won't fire for someone who aren't already part of the event chain!
As soon as the next update is up, it won't happen again.

I found a minor problem. When combined with Commonwealthball 0.13 AND Gib Clay Medium mods, some tags get confused. Commonwealthball alone works fine. Specifically, Florence gets switched to Lancaster and one tag on the East Coast of India becomes York. I'm not sure if there is something you can do about that and it's certainly only a minor inconvenience, just thought I'd let you know.

That's a bizzare bug, since the tags for Lancaster and York were repurposed into those two countries in 1.13.
It's definitely a localisation issue where some old localisation files are being accessed. Commonwealthball was released in 1.13, so it seems likely that Gib Clay has overlooked those files when updating.
Does it occur when only Gib Clay is active, or not?

Yeah, turns out it is definitely a Gib Clay issue. I missed one combination when testing yesterday... Sorry :) Really enjoying your mod! Especially the Enlightenment and science events, there was too little of that in the game.

Its probably known to some degree, though I thought I might mention the Wallachia/Moldavia events that bind them to Poland or Hungary as marches seems a bit buggy. I agree that they would come to either of those states for protection the problem seems to be in choosing their fate. If I select the option that they should not be under my protection, the nation still is a march under Poland instead of breaking them free to seek protection from Hungary.
Another part of this event line is this choice must be repeated every so often, I would choose again to break them free and again they are still bound to me for eternity. Another event also fires that says that Wallachia betrays Poland... for whatever reason I think its all scripted wierd and the events should be fixed or removed in some way.

Thanks Callipso, you're right that they're a little messy due to the complexity of the event structure. Especially bothersome frequency is something I haven't considered enough. They're there because it makes playing as the two states a lot more exciting, but that shouldn't come at a cost to those who want to play as Poland or Hungary.

I'll be looking into ways of clarifying and streamlining them, otherwise they'll go away until I figure out exactyl how to do it.
