Is there any way to work on where barbarians spawn? I use the mod which keeps barbs off snow and waterless desert. The problem is too often the barbs keep spawning in desert or snow when there is PLENTY of good, uncontested land which the AI, CS's or human player aren't using.

There is, but the way i've coded BE is that it picks the most distant Encampment from major civilization capitals, and always tries to put them on different landmasses.

Hey Charsie,

Awsome mod, I've won domination on king with an archer a spearman and a warrior with faith healers in ~100 turns with a 1 population city as babylon, because I also had raging barbarians on and another spawn booster.

I'm currently making a map where you have all the resources you need and a few other mods to boost your early game in a 1v12 scenario. I have your barbarians on the enemy team, the problem is (a bug) the barbarians can cross over inpassible terrain. I'm not sure of mountains ATM, however I've seen them cross over Ice and lake victoria. Lake victoria they stand over then get stuck. Ice they've embarked and crossed through, if you could fix this, especially the ice, I'd be very appreciative.

If you don't want them to cross mountains, ice and wonders simply delete PROMOTION_EVOLVED_FORCES from the list of land unit promotions in the strings tab.

It's in the custom game setup screen. If you're using a map based scenario (and therefore can't do "custom game") then edit the appropriate BEset*.lua preset - probably BEsetVanilla.lua - find the string and delete it (make it a null string, "").

This is the best mod ever. Do not mess with it too much!!! If your want to add more choices fine. But don't eliminate options.
