Server corruption, mod corruption, mod not working? Solutions INSIDE
We have been hearing of a few "bugs" and "corrupt" server/singleplayer games. What is happening is, over time, there are multiple changes that are made to files and then sometimes they are reverted back. I don't know exactly why, or how, but sometimes this just creates some major errors with the core files of the game/server. No we did not edit your dino spawns so that 2,000 plesio's will spawn in the deepwater, that is a really weird file corruption.

So you must be asking, how do I fix this, why are half of my engrams not working? I will tell you, but you HAVE to follow these instructions EXACTLY. (I say exactly because I have walked people through this, and they did NOT do what I was saying, they did what they thought I was trying to say)

First:
Unsubscribe to ArkReborn (and any other mods that you plan on running)

2nd:
Go into steamapp/common/ARK/ShooterGame/Content
There are 2 folders that you need to select, and DELETE. "Maps" and "PrimalEarth", SELECT AND DELETE THESE 2 folders

3rd:
Delete all mod folders that you plan on using

4th:
Now, in steam, go to Library>games and RIGHT click on ARK. In the drop down, select "Properties". In that new window, click the tab that says "local files".

5th:
Click on the button that says "verify integrity of game cache". Now wait for that to finish verifying (all the files you deleted will be redownloaded....FRESH copies)

6th:
Re-subscribe to Ark Reborn (and any other mods you want to use) and start playing....OR (if you are running a server) go into your servers FTP settings



7th:
FOR SERVER OPERATORS ONLY!!!!
Delete the same files on your server that you did in your local game files (mod folder, maps folder, PrimalEarth folder). After those files are deleted, upload your folders from your game files (yay fresh folders!!!!). Once they are uploaded, reboot your server and HAVE FUN!!!!!

These steps should get your server/game working correctly again. Please feel free to direct anyone having problems to this thread in the future XD

This is for when we know how to actually get the mod working on a server. At the moment it does not work because we are not doign something right, either the command line, or there is something deep within the file that needs to be edited (not sure which really)

The mod is partially working for us, colors are here, dinos level as well, items are here as well, only thing missing is possibility to learn how to make new items, engrams are bugged. It seems that all the rest is fine on my server, the only thing i did was launching the game like this in linux :

./ShooterGameServer /Game/Mods/485964701/ArkReborn?listen?GameModIds=485964701?SessionName=.....

No crash at all since the reinstall of server 13 hours ago with ark reborn on it, and i have to mention that our server is still running 190.01 mod version.

Is the mod working for you right now? @TheRealAzrael Could be the map? Had still the previous version the ArkReborn map?

Yes, from Jul 29 21:34 our server is running without any crash, with mod working, but partially, engrams are not working, the rest seems to be fine, colors, dinos level, craft if you already have learned the engram, etc.

I have tamed a level 135 bronto in the night, put him to sleep with the new tranquilizer riffle. Cooking does not seems to work from what my players says, i did not tested it.

Don't update the mod!! I think the problem is the map change. I hope TheRealAzrael read this.

Yea, alot of people wanted to try to use the mod without the "Ark Reborn" map (which is not actually a map, it was the override that told the game, "Hey, use my stuff first." You would have to delete the "Ark Reborn" map to to test if that worked. Apparently it doesn't though, we very much suspect this could be a code thing that just needs to be patched.... but again we're not 100%.
