For someone who still want this MOD in ENGLISH follow these steps...

1. Download the latest mod file "GundamUC0079CV.4.rar" from the moddb website via this url.
Mobile Suit Gundam 0079-0083 Combo Version

2. Extract the .rar files and rename the file "english.big" to "English_Gundam.big" (or whatever name you like!)

3. Copy the 2 files (GundamUC0079CV.big and English_Gundam.big) and paste into the game folder "\HomeworldRM\Data"

4. Go to the game's LAUNCH OPTIONS (Open Steam -> LIBRARY -> HOME -> Right-Click at Homeworld Remastered game -> Properties... -> GENERAL -> LAUNCH OPTIONS)

5. Enter this command line into LAUNCH OPTIONS (These mod names must be the same with the 2 files you've just copied!)

-mod GundamUC0079CV.big;English_Gundam.big

6. Close the properties windows then launch the game!

Huh. This doesn't actually appear to work, it just opens the launcher.

When you launch the game, it'll open up the game's launcher. Then just choose either "Homeworld Remastered" or "Homeworld 2 Remastered". The game should start with Gundam introduction background. Then goes to Player VS CPU mode, you'll be able to select Zeon or Earth Federation faction for your skirmish mode. Enjoy!

The English version will be back up soon I just have to get the corrected files from our devs

it doesnt work, i open the launcher and it launches the game with the ui but when i start a skirmish match it just has the default units

Spiroth on the moddb page on september 3 2019 said something along the lines of that you need to remove the .big extension for the english g file and then that worked. thats both remove the file extension from the launch parameters and the file itself so the launch params would be

I got the mod working but the names of units is in numbers

My question is why is the English version removed?

fail does not work

Seems I am not the only English speaker wanting this in English...i will attempt the workaround for now

Just made a comment on this mod page about the English version situation refer to that for more info

If your talking about that post on page 2 with killroy that's a blatant lie. It was removed because it was a buggy mess at the time due to constant gearbox updates and time constraints on fixes.
