Old Short Circuit?

Isn't this becoming what the original Short Circuit was going to be? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it'd unfold and become something like this.

Yes, originally the Short Circuit was going to be a minigun arm based off of said weapon used by the first boss of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, but Valve wanted a weaker electric based weapon, there's concept art on the official wiki page for the Short Circuit.
