Its not just an upgrade. It gives you the possibility to survive longer in melee combats. And you can't just spam the M1 Button, because of the slower firing speed.
The minicrits are for Damage boost And Health so you cant die instant. So your melee weapon gets stronger and you can kill more people. Because sometimes i play melee demoknight, I kill someone and get instant killed by his teammates.
