Question about selection menu

I'm having some problems with the mod. When I'm playing on singleplayer, the mod works perfectly.
But, I can't get a single way to get the selector menu to pop up. Is there a way to open the selector in a way on a server, or set a default setting for a midi keyboard selection?

That's wierd cause in the past, we didn't enjoy those problems on servers. The addon is in the Addonlist of the gmod server?
