800 Days Bug Reports
I've played 800 days -have thoroughly enjoyed playing it. In the spirit of an alpha mod, these are the bugs I have encountered and noticed. My system has 8GB of RAM, 3.1GHz CPU (i5), and an NVIDIA gtx 960 graphics card. The OS is on a solid-state drive, but the game is on a secondary drive. I have the battle size set to 300 (which normally runs fine).

1.) Clipping issues: there are a variety of clipping issues. When dueling a lord the combatants are given the blue tunics from Native, but the pants clip through the front. Likewise, any pants will clip through a woman's dress. Additionally, several hairstyles clip through hats (including on NPCs) -the guild master in Moscow, I believe, had a pony tail sticking out the back of his top hat.

2.) Appointments: As near as I can tell, no faction has appointed a marshall, except my own (Russia), nor does any faction appoint a new lord of a city (Hanover, Lublin, and Prag have all changed hands, over 400 days ago, and none have governors). Russia hasn't taken a city, so I don't know if it will appoint a new lord.

3.) Perpetual Peace: despite the lack of Marshalls, there is only mostly perpetual peace. Russia has fought, in 800 days, exactly one war, with France and Holland, that lasted 100 days and was fought to check France's expansion. Austria and Prussia periodically fight, Prussia and France periodically fight, and Holland and Rheinland periodically fight. I believe, but am uncertain, that the primary driver of wars is "reclaim lost territory," and since no one appoints a marshall, no territory is ever claimed, and as a result, there is never the expansion needed to trigger a "limit expansion" war for a country that hasn't lost territory previously.

4.) Formations: tight formations with a lot of collisions causes the game to stutter. Naval actions with more than a few score combatants cause the game to grind to a halt as all the sailors bump into each other. Similarly, forming a large square causes the game to stutter. Smaller squares don't cause stuttering until a horse hits the square (though seeing the rider go flying in slow motion was quite fun). The same does not appear to be the problem with a line formation, even one that is 3 ranks thick (still thick enough to cause a horseman to fly).

5.) There is a village, and alas I didn't record which, but I believe it would have been in Austria, Prussia, or Russia, as that is where I have been patrolling -that is a large flat, featureless plane. The game stuttered on load, so I don't know if this village has not been created, or if this was a glitch. Even after visiting the village post "rescue from bandits" mission, it was still a large, flat, rectangle with people milling about.

6.) Feasts: character married and was based from Moscow, but was not the Lord of Moscow. Held a feast (I don't know if its a glitch or not, but I was unable to find any drinks other than wine and ale, which meant the feast's table was poor), and the feast was recorded as being held by Nicolas Esson, rather than my character. Also, no one came, but that might not be the game's fault.

7.) Artillery: it took me a while to figure this out -I get an error message at the end of any battle with artillery in it saying that it is unable to count agent damage. I think the game is having an error every time an artillery unit kills someone. Additionally, in any engagement where bandits are attacking a patrol and I join in on the patrol's side, my artillery side with the bandits. If I side with the bandits, the artillery stays on my side. Now, to really confuse things, I joined a battle between two patrols, and when I joined the first patrol (I believe it's the "rush to the aid of..." option), the artillery switched sides, but when I reloaded and joined the second patrol (join the battle on the side of... option), the artillery was on the right side. I don't know what to make of that.

8.) Prize Fights: may be a glitch, may not. Periodically the prize fights will load 2 fighters and the fight becomes a 3-for-all (that is, the two other fighters fight each other, not just the player). It is not, near as I can tell, tied to a specific city, but it might be tied to prize fights with payouts of 100 francs.

Suggestion: as I have enjoyed RP-ing War and Peace, as you reskin the heroes, it seems to me that Matheld would profitably reskin as Pierre Bezukhov, and Alyan might reskin well as Prince Andre Bolkonsky -both characters from the book who take long detours out of the narrative (Andre after being presumed dead at Austerlitz, Pierre after he leaves his wife) of the book and therefore might have hooked up with other heroes in the war.

Very much enjoyed the game. Hope these reports are useful. I look forward to the next update.

playing as England i observed that all nations stopped warring after around 400 days. havent seen any conflict for 1634 days now. no matter how often I raid the neighboring countries.

personally i think this is the no.1 priority to fix for a campaign game.
