Prussian Infantry question.
Hi,

I've noticed that the Prussian high tier soldiers don't have good stats compared to the rest of the factions.

Prussian Gardefüsilier_zu_Fuß: Have really low stats for being the highest tier.

Prussian gardegrenadier zu Fuss: are also not that great.
Their weapon proficiencies are really low, they are almost all around 100.
Granted that these 2 units are only lvl 19 and 20.

Edit: I've read an article by domc30, that in 1809, Prussia had an outdated army, does this reflect the units ingame, to have a more accurate gameplay?
If so, Prussia has one musketeer, lvl 25, with good stats, as 280 musketry for example.
This still raises a question for me.

Thanks.

I've noticed this in other factions too. However check the melee stats of the Grenadiers. Perhaps they're more liking to stabbing people rather than shooting? I haven't played as Prussia and I'm currently having issues with saving my games so I haven't been able to check the Prussian's stats

Most people don't understand prussia had two armies in a short span.
Early period was a standing professional army second to none, but used outdated tacticts, they had come to believe only their way was best.
The later period was created from a pool of reserves who had to secretly train and organize while under Napoleons occupation, which rose up after his retreat from Moscow. But the elan and tacicts it used were high quality because the old traditions were so humilated in 06-7. Allowing Prussia's army to embrace the best tacticts from all over Europe making it highly effective with many sub par troops in its ranks.

Which you'll notice after the Napoleonic wars Prussia became the leading force in uniting Germany and became known as the German Empire during the Victorian Era. However Prussia didn't go without a few defeats at the hands of Napoleon himself with their new model army. Let's not forget Ligny and Wavre

P.S. Anyone reading this have Scourge of War:Waterloo? Add me on steam if you're into an MP game on that

by the time napoleon kicked their ass, they were still using equipment and tactics from the seven years war. after being defeated by napoleon, they adopted new equipment and used tactics(napoleons) that the rest of the european armies had already been defeated by, and then adopted.
under napoleons subjugation they could only have a limited army (30,000?) and were restricted in what they could do militarily. by the time he retreated from russia, they were ready with newly trained soldiers to enact their revenge
