Rank limit?
I hold the rank of lieutenant, and whenever I try to buy a commision, even if i have enough money my character automaticaly says that he wont. I know i could probably rank up from renown alone but i would like to know if anyone else is having this problem and if it can be fixed, or if i have reached the rank limit, thanks.

Nope you can't you need to have a lot of renown to be able to rank up after lieutenant.

ok thank you, do you have an idea of how much you need exactly?

Are you positive you have the 37500 francs needed to purchase a captaincy?
Wizard 2 Aug, 2016 @ 10:12am
it says i only need 13750
Jackson  [developer] 2 Aug, 2016 @ 10:44am
That's the price for a lieutenancy.

the first picture shows that i hold a rank of lieutenant, and the second one shows the cost to buy a commission whenever i try to.

He says "even a simple lieutenancy costs 13750 francs". You can't buy a lieutenancy if you're a lieutenant. You need to buy a captaincy, which costs 37500.
Wizard 2 Aug, 2016 @ 2:39pm
but then why would it say I am one then?
Jackson  [developer] 2 Aug, 2016 @ 5:31pm
Exactly. You're a lieutenant. The cheapest commission you can buy as a lieutenant is a captain's commission, which costs 37500. You cannot see the option to buy it because you don't have enough money.
Wizard 2 Aug, 2016 @ 5:43pm
but then why would it be telling me it only costs 13750? If it really costed 37500 shouldn't it tell me that?
Jackson  [developer] 2 Aug, 2016 @ 6:24pm
It does not tell you a captain's commission costs 13750 anywhere. He clearly says a lieutenant's commission costs that amount. He tells you this when asking about commissions to give you general idea of the kinds of costs involved. I really don't see how this isn't clear.

What I dont understand is since I'm already a lieutenant, as I've shown you in the picture, why is it telling me that I am not infact a lietenant ,even though I have the bonuses of being one, and why wont it update to tell me that I have to pay 37500 francs to rank up to the captain military rank?
Jackson  [developer] 3 Aug, 2016 @ 8:59am
That's just a generic piece of dialogue that always plays when you ask about commissions.

Wouldn't it make more sense to just show the price of the captaincy, rather than restating the price of a lieutenant's commision?
