Too much gunsmoke for me
In big battles the amount of smoke impacts my FPS. And, y'know, i can't see anything either.
Is there a way to lower the amount of smoke?

At the moment you can't change the amount the smoke but maybe in your file you can change it

You can disable particle effects in the settings. I'm not sure that applies to the custom smoke in L'Aigle, though.

Managed to find a file you can edit: partile_systems.txt
Lowering the big whole numbers improves performance, but there's still big lingering smoke that makes it impossible to see anything. The decimal numbers after the whole ones seem to determine how long particles last, but it was too much effort to test.

But what about the immersion, dude? That's just how it's supposed to be lol

Only in them crappy re-enactments where they've got the smokiest powder available to hide the fact they look ridiculous.

LSD, have you ever fired a black powder gun, there is quite a lot of smoke. Battles during the civil war were often recorded being followed by massive rainstorms due to the massive amounts of particles from the powder smoke.
