Traffic ignoring priority signs

Traffic pretty much ignoring any priorities I give them, am I doing something wrong?

I give the main road a diamond, the joining roads a triangle, and I'm presuming the stop sign is just another level of lower priority?

Sometimes only a diamond is necessary. Try removing the yield signs (inverted triangles). Also, are you seeing any errors in the output log? Any other traffic mods active?
