- water/power shutoff max 2 months (or instantly)
- loot - rare or worst, except basic materials and ammo (even I did not use guns yet), food you can have whatever - usually I manage to get stable garden before winter, on 2nd year, indoors one + freezers; that said, if you're playing with 'survivors mod' set it to high and lock your MRE's as they will go trough them as hot knife into butter.
- freezer efficiency I do have set on high,
- fuel consumption of generators I have set to 5x (feels more realistic), cars to 1.8-2x
- I do hate smart zombies so I change their navigation to basics, speed - as You like
- Z starting population is small (IIRC 0.35) and ramp-up is 100d - give some time to build yourself some shelter and arm up - navigating via hordes of Zs on day-1 with knife butter that will be gone after 1 use, is not my style.
- dark night (I might try pitch black) - so flashlights/lamps are needed
- If Hydrocraft will get more options to manufacture car parts, I'll go with limited health on cars, for now usually they are default
- PZ41 supposed to focus on temperature - if this will happen and there will be heaters in game, I think I'll go with cold and dry settings, for now only rain really matter - lack of water IMO is bigger issue than 'soaked'
I'll probably start new game soon with different settings (less loot, more steep Z pop curve, maybe extreme weather)
Most deaths - falling 1 floor with 20 planks, as building roof in PZ is still annoying task:)
(those are from top of my head, also, I'm very causal player due to lack of free time)
recently discovered the Filibusters cars and military trucks, along with the Military Fort mod.... starting to use a lot of weapons. kind of releases the stress. but in the end... not much zombies left.
my kids were crazy when they saw the muscle cars.
when you say 5x on generator, you mean 5.0 or 0.2 ? (5x longer or 5x more fuel ?) I never used a power gen so i dont really know how long it lasts on one refill.
