how do you use a mode (it s not wroking)

I downloaded the script thing. The problem i am having is that when i click "i'd like to play a game", it says the person has no gold. so i cant play because the host doesnt have any gold when he actually does. Im wondering if this could be a problem becuase of the rich merchant mod i have. It would not make sense for it to not work becuase all the merchants are rich. Anyways i will keep trying.
