crafters not crafting?
For example: I have a ropery with 104 reeds in its in ventory, but still it has the sign that says that it doesn't have the material available.

What am I missing?

Most items require a set amount of raw materials to craft. Like 125 reeds for one rope in this case.
Until your worker can find enough reeds to get at least 125 of them to the ropery, you'll see that "not enough materials" sign :)
