I've found 3 bears sofar, all on mountain areas(not snow)

Where did you find them cranor?

Mountains, 1 just south of the temple at the west right below the snow area

they do seem rlly rare

Tribemate found one on the floating island.

Any know if an Argy can pick one up, or just a Quetzal?

I havnt found any yet but I have the dragon mod so it may be killing their spawns.

I found a dire bear on the south east of the main content, to the east of the waterfall cave.

Totally today I found 10+ bears. NOONE in winter biome-only nearby. Places where did I found: 1.all arround temple mountain (not inside temple-outside of winter biome)
2.Floating Island
3. 65/65
4. Look all over sakura mountains and sakura waterfalls (found there 3-4 bears)
5.24/49
Tips:
They have low hp so trank it with darts
If you will pick it with quetz before taming to bring home, you have to expect that bear will hit quetz several times(but not hard) even if bear will not agro. If you will agro it and pick it..it can kill your quetz

We finally found them in the north west location :) Friend says a lot there :) YEY a spawn dragons didnt kill!

@BoilerRat, it is also known that dragonsplus and small dragons mods both use spawns intended for rhinos and bears so it might be that reason for them being rare.

I found one in the northern mountains.
