Can we turn down this fog effect please ?
This map is amazing WHEN you can actualy see ♥♥♥♥. After the latest update all i do is pause what i do for the fking fog to go away. It is beyond stupid how it affects the water . How can it be foggy in the water for crying out loud ?!?!
Had to stop water tames over and over again because of this ♥♥♥♥ coupled with normal night time ( im not complaining about the night time )
Lost gear because it went so foggy IN THE WATER that i couldnt see the dunkle in front of me till it was too late. Went back for my gear but .. no chance to find it in milk.
I`m sorry for the rant but ♥♥♥♥ got to me.

I agree the fog is quite over done for this and now the whole green mist changing everything issue is just good luck trying to do anything it seems every other day where i cant do anything.

Even when it isn't green, I'm sometimes unable to see the ground my small dragon was stepping on on the desert island.

i liked the map best when there was no fog at all. ever. never. a dream.. :D

I have nothing against some fog on some days, but last ingame day we had three fog periods (that was near the South of Volcano Island). That's a bit too much. So I agree: please reduce the amount of fog on the map.

In the coming updates, Ark itself is implementing a server side fog on/off config. This way dedicated server owners can control whether or not they want fog implemented.

The underwater fog is not all the time, it's just for like 1 or 2 minutes. It meant to be like that, just think logically ... also the green fog is fixed.

Think logically ? I am trying to. Explain to me the process of fog INSIDE the water.
By its nature, fog is the phenomenon where miniscule particles of water get suspended in the air . Fog above the water , yes!
And its not 1 - 2 minutes, it last for as long as the fog event lasts for, it even starts a bit sooner then on land as the fog seems to be directional from the lowest crevice to the highest mountain .

You've never seen cloudy water before? Ya know, water so full of silt/debris you cant see your hand in front of your face?

Murky water happens.
causevd 26 Apr, 2016 @ 2:56pm
I don't know how to explain it but in the ocean there's always fog if you go deep, (talking about IRL). Just like RehKal said ...

Its a different phenomenon altogeter , not fog. It may be debris or fine particles of sand, mud, decomposing matter suspended in the water column, yes, but it is not fog.
I am not arguing that murky water happens, im just saying fog does not occur in water.
