How to fix common issues with Valhalla or other mods
So Ive been on the comments side of this mod trying to get people in the right direction to fix minor issues, like not being able to connect or whatever.. heres a break down of what to do..

1) Unsubscribe from mod <---- Goto Steam Library, Click on Ark and goto Browse Workshop... hover on the Arrow pointing down under "Your Mod Files" and then click on Subscribed, Find Valhalla and Unsubscribe from it.. It may be best to unsubscribe from ALL mods... your choice. But it could be one of them conflicting or one could be incomplete......

2) Find your Mods folder and Workshop folder.... these would be wherever Steam/Ark is installed... For me its

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Mods

and

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\346110\

You'll want to delete all the mods from those two locations.. Or if you did just Valhalla, delete the 504122600 folder and 504122600.mod file

3) Go back to the Workshop, re-subscribe to the mods or mod and let steam download.. I suggest doing one mod at a time.....

4) Launch Ark, and let Ark install the mod.. <--- Should see on the bottom right in white txt Installing 1 Mod (Modname)... Again I suggest doing steps 3/4 with 1 mod at a time.... your choice

BEFORE CONTINUING, MAKE SURE TO SHUTDOWN YOUR SERVER!!!!!

5) upload your mods folder to your Server... Download any FTP client and get your FTP login from your Server Providers website.. should be your server IP panel Login and panel password...

6) you will need to upload these files to ShooterGame/Content/Mods

7) be Sure you are uploading from your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Mods folder. which you can find on the left side panel of FileZilla

8) after all the mods have been uploaded, you need to add Valhalla to your command line and the other mods to your GameUserConfig File. Below is a sample command line based off my server...

-MapModId=504122600?MaxPlayers=40?MultiHome=SERVER IP HERE?Port=PORT?QueryPort=QUERYPORT?RCONPort=RCONPort?AllowFlyerCarryPVE=true?AllowThirdPersonPlayer=true?AlwaysNotifyPlayerLeft=true?bPvEDisableFriendlyFire=true?RCONEnabled=true?ServerPVE=true?Listen -log -TotalConversionMod= -UseBattlEye -ForceAllowCaveFlyers

welcome to use that command line, just make sure to change mulithome with your server IP, Port, Query, Rcon ports.

you will also need to add

ActiveMods=XXXXXXXXX,XXXXXXXXX under [ServerSettings] in your GameUserSettings.ini

once those changes above have been made, you should be able to start the server and connect with no issues...

If you continue to have problems, post here and I'll help when I can...

You may need to destroy Wild dinos. Google search for ark server commands

They can be found around the ice mountains with mammoths

I also created a video for Simple and easy way to get fresh copy of mods to upload to your server.. Please make sure your server is OFF before doing anything. Also be sure to delete the mod from your server before re-uploading it!!!

Hey guys,

So been trying to get this map to work on my server for over a month now. My host providers are having issues getting it to work. I am currently getting assertion failures, also have followed your steps above. Let me know of any info you need to help out!

UPDATE: Map now loads and all but there is no water/ocean or aquatic dino spawns, and the terrains/grass/ground clutter is nothing but grey squares, as if the ground didnt load in properly. Any suggestions?

I'm having a problem with my server going to 0% processessing when I try to launch valhalla, by itself, it was working just fine before with Terra-Nova, and theIsland maps.. I have the most recent version as well as I have it uploaded to my server. Someone please help!!

@blackie chan

I would try reupload the map as well as on your PC. Watch the 2 vid I posted on an easy way to get the most current copy of Valhalla.

@Dreamx

0% processing generally results in crashing

Please confirm you have the mod set correctly in the command line. First entry of command line should be -MapModId=XXXXXXX? Post your command line here and I'll tell you if it's correct or not. Be sure to remove any passwords if any are there.

You'll also want to make sure you have as fresh of a copy of Valhalla as possible. If you watch the second video, I show how this can be done.

@Twonk, I rent a server from HostHavoc, but my command line reads as follows:

"Valhalla?MapModId=504122600?GameModIds=XXXXXXXXX"

Previously, when I used the Terra-Nova map, it worked fine as this:
"Terra-Nova?GameModIds=481811048,XXXXXXXXX"

so my attempt I've tried running Valhalla just like above (with the correct mod ID, 504122600) and I was still recieving the crash. so I attempted to force the mapmodid like in the current command line. I will attempt to put a yet again, fresh copy of valhalla on my server tomorrow... Maybe a file corrupted somehow but I doubt it since this would be the 3rd time I've attempted to do this.

make sure you push select next to the command line. When you log in to your panel and go to the comand line, next to the custom one you make should be a select button. Also try changing the MapModId= to -MapModID= I do believe you need the -
Dreamx 16 Apr, 2016 @ 8:06pm
@Twonk It's still 0%'ing with the command line being:

"-MapModID=504122600?GameModIds=XXXX" I've unsubscribed to valhalla, deleted all the files, resubbed and redownloaded everything... then reuploaded everything...
knowt 16 Apr, 2016 @ 8:35pm
@Dreamx

did you put the mod in ShooterGame/Content/Mods ?

you also need to make sure you put the folder 504122600 along with 504122600.mod both belong in the Mods folder.

Dreamx 17 Apr, 2016 @ 10:38am
@Twonk I'm aware how to install mods, yes they're both in the Mods folder on my server.

Then theres something wrong with either the mod or your command line.

Post the rest of your command line for me please, be sure to remove any passwords that might be in there
