Wheat Maths
Dear Primitive Plus+,

Wheat. It's a crop. A good crop. How good? Let us break it down Maths style.

Wheat, as a crop, can be used to tame Herbivores.

Wheat has a food value of 5.0. (All others 50.0)

That means a herbivore will eat a wheat every 5.0 food drop compared to 50 for everything else. Eating it 10x faster. Keeping the same Taming Effectiveness.

A level 120 bronto will eat 1750 crops in 14 hours.

A level 120 bronto will eat 1750 wheat in 1.4 hours. 10 x faster. (kibble is 1h 51min) Wheat is 10x better than anything else time wise.

I am not sure it was intentional or not but this is the Maths. Use wheat. It’s what’s for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

It looks to me either it was set at 5.0 and did not understand the way taming works. Or messed up and forgot to type a zero there to make it 50.0.

If I am wrong and it was suppose to be a prime crop for taming then the only question I have is "Was it suppose to be 10x better than other crops? Or just x3 like prime is for carnovoires."

Thanks,
Edix

Edit 1: Crops have a food value of 40, so my maths is off a bit, but not by much. (14 hours) / 8 =
1.75 hours

Just did a "real world" tame of a Castoroides Lv64.

Normal Crops:
210 food crop
6 hours 18 min
1176 Narcotics
TE: 38.84% +12lv

Wheat Crops:
210 Wheat Crop
37 min
100 Narcotics
TE: 38.84% +12lv

(6 hours 18 min) / 10 =
37.8 minutes

Wheat is 10x taming speed. (Faster than Kibble taming speed)

I did a tame last night with wheat on a Trike. It was a level 92 and it constantly ate the wheat until it was fully tamed. It took about 3 minutes to tame up. It was fast!!!

Also used coffee on a pig level 100 and it ate constantly and tamed in about the same time. I was in game and didn't think about timing things like you did.
