Hey everyone! In version 0.9.0 you have the option to customize the time it takes for the baby dinos to grow, the levels at which they spawn and whether they grow or not. I will show you how to do this in this tutorial.

1. Once subscribed to the mod verify that the mod has been installed correctly by going into the game and starting a singleplayer game. Once in the game check to see if the engrams are there or summon some baby dinos to see if they spawn.

2. After you have verified that the mod has installed correctly you need to access the “GameUserSettings.ini” file. If you installed steam in the default location it will be located at


Singleplayer/Non-Dedicated Multiplayer:

C:\Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/ARK/ShooterGame/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor

Dedicated Windows Server:

<ServerDirectory>/ShooterGame/Saved/Config/WindowsServer

Dedicated Linux Server:

<ServerDirectory>/ShooterGame/Saved/Config/LinuxServer


3. Open the file with your favorite text editor and scroll to the bottom. Now copy the text below and paste in into the file. Make sure it's the at the bottom after the last entry. It must be the same as below.

PLEASE NOTE: There are a lot of variables that you can change to customize the dino spawn level, so I put them in a document. If you don’t feel comfortable changing these please do not.

To Change Whether They Grow Add This:

[BabyDinosGrow]
DoBabyDinosGrow=true



NOTE: These are the default values.

4. Now you can edit any variable you would like.
PLEASE NOTE THAT TIMES ARE AND MUST BE IN SECONDS!

5. When you’re done editing the “GameUserSetting.ini” file save the file.

6. Now load up the game and your new settings will be set!
