BUG- > OVERHEAT in SCORCHED EARTH
Bug Issue with Scorched Earth:
I just recognised, that this MOd adds ALOT of HEAT! to players when set in Scorched Earth.
It will burn your ass out in a short time.
You are not allowed to use it when you are living in this house..
This makes me so sad - expecially when you famed that much for this.

Altough you are NOT ABLE to set Ceilings or Roofs in the HIGH DESSERT of scorched earth. It says it need sunlight. Maybe because its the same ID as Underwater?

I'd be honest if this could be changed, because i really love this mod! :D

Some of what you're seeing is scorched earth mechanics. Normal metal, stone, and wood buildings that give their house buff will also burn the snot out of players. If the mod author based their coding on that buff, it will do the same.

There are also some areas in Scorched Earth that do not permit greenhouses/crop plots as they are supposed to be "too hot". The current message for these areas is that you need sunlight. I think this is what you're seeing.

The mod author will have to tweak the mod for use in scorched earth.

i hope he tweaks it because -2500 hypothermic insulation is a little extreme. Make it have the same mechanics as other buildings but make it so we can solve the problem without using 50 air conditioners.

im guessing its the same as Metal, which is a bad idea in Scorched Earth.

Indeed. IRL Glass can boost the suns rays, making an inside much hoter than an outside. It's called solar gain.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_gain

This also causes a greenhouse effect though windows.
Glass has a low thermal conductivity, but is also transparent. So the sun light enters though the transparent window, turns in to heat, and then cannot leave outside. Trapped, the heat accumulates at the air close to the windows, and that is what you feel.

So it's not a bug, it's working as intended.

thats not a bug adobe structures are hardcoded to have salutation for SE

I made a mod to help offset the heat + glass issue, now I can use glass and made AC not worthless on top of it. (You still need to use some adobe, but will allow for Glass Windows)

lol never advertise ur mod on another mods page....
anything past thatch/adobe you will be boiling in.. glass/metal/stone its essentially an oven. kinda obvious if you think about it.
ps - make a bunch of airconditioners... no xtra mod required there

:/ hopefully fixed before long. This mod is pretty sexy, but that would be a ton of ACs...

Just do what other's have been doing. build an adobe inside, and a metal outside. metal foundations and walls incasing an adobe structure. Bam best of both worlds.

Really, the over heating is not a big. You really think being in a metal box in the hot sun would be cool?
