Planes aren't spawning
Planes won't spawn after I changed only the middle part of the airplane path.
Please help me.
Thanks.

Planes usually behave in a weird way. Sometimes you need to give them some time to adapt to the new path layout. That is, some in-game weeks. Make sure the new path you drew is well connected to the previous segment. If you are subscribed to Fine Road Anarchy mod, make sure that snapping option is enabled when connecting the segments. Same as ship terminals, each plane stand should be connected to one airplane path. See grapplehoeker's comment in the following discusion regarding ship paths: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/255710/discussions/0/133260492063422791/ . Ships behave the same way as airplanes, trains, etc.

I checked the path and waited for like one game year or more but still no planes spawning.

Maybe you somehow broke the outside connection, probably because you added or removed some. Despite this mod allows you to do that, the game's AI have conflicts with it in-game. Probably you'll have to edit the paths in the map editor (but that will mean starting building your city all over again). Did you follow the tutorial steps? If so, make sure your terminal / plane stands are well connected to the paths, that is having the runway at 90° of the path and separated like 3000m from it

I did the same thing. Any new updates since then? Have your planes spawned again?

This is the main answer why planes aren't spawning when you modify connections, The only fix to this is to restart your entire city from scratch so you can properly add the paths at the Map Editor. Problem solved.

Meesmoth's Tip #1: Do NOT modify outside connections other than road ones, or else you'll be needing to restart your entire city again.

I cant tell you why but I bet that if you change ship or plane paths you need to replop all the things like harbors, ports, airport terminals. Literally every building which is connected to airplane or ship path. Including runways and taxiways. I had similiar issue few months ago. I did not use this mod thats true but I moved few runways and taxiways into position and no planes were arriving. When I placed the runway again (in one go click 1 270 units click 2) and I placed taxiways again and I replopped my buildings which "lure" aircraft. Aircrafs started to flying in again.

I have been having similar issues, not sure if it can be rectified with this mod, or unlimited outside connections or what. I have tons of mods, so the conflict could be anywhere. But my issue is that when I start a new game and choose a map, it will say what connections the map has. I choose a map with air connection. But then once I start the game and am in the map, the "square buying" overview map (whatever it's called) shows no air connection on any square. The map will have the purple air paths, but the sim seems to not recognize it. I have tried this with multiple vanialla maps that are supposed to have air connections. I'll place a basic vanilla airport, and after many in-game weeks, no activity, no tourists served. But trucks will go to the airport, saying they're exporting, but then nothing spawns and takes off.

WHen I check the air paths at the edge of the map, the stock paths show no electricity or water, and paths I place myself have another symbol that I'm not sure of.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

My problem is I built a harbor, had cruise ships coming in frequently, then it stopped coming completely. Zero cruise ships for decades. My map has air, train, ship routes. 75k pop, 60% city attractiveness, weekly tourist visit: 570.
Don't know what I messed up, but few things I could think of that might have broken it -
1) Mods: Installed Enhanced District Services because I couldn't get my specialized industry supply chains to work in vanilla. Might have installed this before cruise ship issue.
2) I might have built a new ferry path across the cruise ship path as I expend my ferry network. Would that break it?

I also tried moving my harbor to a different location that has straight line access to the original map ship line (yellow dotted), without success. Couldn't figure out the issue so decided to wait for airports to unlock.

And now my airport is built for several years with bus connection, but has NOT seen a single plane or tourist serviced. I even moved my airport right over the map plane line (pink dotted) even though I believe airports can be placed anywhere on the map. That doesn't work either.

Anyone has any idea?

Same here. Airplanes not spawning
Kombat Wombat 11 May, 2021 @ 7:55pm
Cargo airplanes are working fine for me. I have two passenger airports. Two different times a passenger plane did a messed up touch and go on the runway I built, but passenger planes have never come to the airport at all.

I have dozens of mods, including EDS (I might shut it off to see if this fixes it).

I am suffering this issue too. Is there any news on a way to fix this without starting over?

I always recommend to go to the map editor first and draw the air paths as desired (if you have already thought the aprox location of the airport) and then play the game. Because despite you can edit air paths in game with mods it always causes some troubles that might be better to avoid.
In any case if you edit them in game you have to let the game play for a while (1 - 2 game years) to see the airplanes spawning again. If that doesn't happen check the outside connections properly placed, check your paths are independent and don't merge, and finally check your mod compatibility.
I also recommend to draw paths perpendicular to the runway heading and at a proper distance from the threshold so airplanes don't loop or do weird things when approaching.

I had this exact issue. All my taxiways and runways were correctly connected, and yet no planes landed. I looked around for a while for a solution. I tried replopping my airport, recreating all the taxiways and runways, I tried many configurations of air lanes, I tried making my airport more attractive.

Ultimately, the thing that caused passenger planes to finally start landing was to add a CARGO plane stand. For some reason, once I put a cargo plane stand down, cargo planes started landing... and then passenger planes started landing too! Now I have a decent amount of passenger traffic through my airport. No clue why it works, but I recommend creating cargo infrastructure if you also run in to this bug.
