[How-To] Mod loading / stacking (Server)
This guide is a how to for uploading mod(s) to server
- If you don't know how to FTP/upload to your server contact your provider

  • 1:
    A. Subscribe to the mod...
    B. Start up Ark (Will automatically start the download of the mod(s) into Steam\steamapps\common\Ark\ShooterGame\Content\Mods\)

  • 2:
When the installation is done go to Steam\steamapps\common\Ark\ShooterGame\Content\Mods\ and locate the mod
    - Search for; 515417171 - You'll see a folder and a .mod file which are both required for it to work
In case you don't see both... restart Ark / repeat Step 1: B

  • 3:
    A. Make sure you have a folder called Mods on your server ShooterGame\Content\Mods\
    - In case you don't already have a Mods folder simply create one inside ShooterGame\Content\
    B. Upload the files or zip file into that folder ShooterGame\Content\Mods\
    - In case you've ziped it remember to unzip it when it's uploaded

  • 4:
Open up your GameUserSettings.ini and search for ActiveMods under the [ServerSettings] section...
In case you don't already have it simply add ActiveMods=515417171 just below [ServerSettings] on a new line
If you already have other mods installed simply add 515417171, in-between after the ActiveMods= (Ie. ActiveMods=515417171,479295136)
    - Stacking mods are done by separating them with a comma (aka ,)

  • 5:
    A. Start and join your server
    - In case it was already running simply stop it and make sure you're settings in GameUserSettings.ini hasn't been removed before you start it again
    B. When in-game check the ESC menu and see if you can see mod name and description
    - If you can't see the mod name and description make sure you've done step 4 correctly and still got ActiveMods=515417171 under [ServerSettings]
Also make sure you've actually saved the changes not to mention edited the right config depending on if you're on Windows or Linux
    WindowsServer @ ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsServer\GameUserSettings.ini and LinuxServer @ ShooterGame\Saved\Config\LinuxServer\GameUserSettings.ini
    C. Enjoy
