Because you have to build it twice, the cost to build it becomes expensive, so I recommend that you cut the cost in half by going to the mod folder > media > lua > client > MoreBuildings > BuildModule > TypeDoors.lua.
From there, go to lines 63 and 927 to divide the values for the building materials. Line 63 is what you'll see in the game menu, line 927 is what the game checks to make sure you have the right amount.
It's weird that you weren't able to reproduce it because it seems quite a few people are having this issue.
I would be glad to lend any support in helping you recreate the issue, so feel free to ask for more info.
My mods are:
Automechanics
Auto Sewing
Smart Open Mechanics UI
Map Symbol Size Slider
Has Been Read
Show Skill XP Gain
Skill Recovery Journal
Change Sandbox Option
ZuperCart - Cart & Trolleys
True Actions
Ultimate XP Tweaker
Mod works fine except the garage doors. At least that's what I'm experiencing.

Same here.
Tried with "Saw" and "Garden Saw". No difference.
Tried holding all items to build, did not work. Got an Error.
Tried with all items under my feet. Didn't work either - Error.
I click the Gray Garage Door or whatever and the menu disappears and error occurs.
