Has anyone played Crag yet?
I'd really love some feedback if anyone has played it yet. Haven't really heard much from peoples. :D:

Would have to find a server that's playing it. Unfortunately, I don't know of one that is. :(
We're playing it on our server in the next few minutes. Will post feedback if I have any afterwards.
I wasn't able to be there while my server was playing it, but reviews on it were mixed. I personally liked the asthetics of the map, but there were a few things that were mentioned.

  • There were some missing textures on various objects, including a cup in spawn, rocks near the beginning of the map, and a ladder somewhere when we played it on our server.
  • Some people mentioned they were having issues with their framerate after they switched to the map.
  • The players mentioned they would have liked for the map to have been opened up a bit and maybe given some flanks, as they felt it was too easy to hold and very difficult to push.

Unfortunately, I don't have anything more specific than that. We were doing an impromptu spooky story telling and spooky songs, so it made it harder to gather the feedback properly.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback! It's been a couple years since I mapped in TF2 and a lot of things have changed since then. One of those is how maps have the texture packed in them. I thought I had packed everything, but I suppose I missed a few. Sorry about that!

As for the other things, I'm not sure why performance would've been bad. From my experience the map is fairly well optimized but I guess it depends on the system.

Just to be fair, my fps has been in the garbage can since whatever update volvo pushed out a month ago, so that might have something to do with the performance issues as well. I know other people in my group have complained about the same.
