Color settings variations
Friends! I, as you, truely love this mod created by comrade In heaven.

However for me (personally) the colors seem a little pale, and sometimes it is difficult to distinguish one country from another.

Therefore, by browsing the files of this mod, and after playing with the values of the variables, I have changed color saturation.

Here You can see the original color scheme and different customization options for comparison + links to download

Settings: (T) - Transparency (S) - Saturation
Original[i.piccy.info]
(T) - 65, (S) - 15
You already have this :)

Option 1[i.piccy.info]
(T) - 60, (S) - 20
Download[drive.google.com]

Option 2[i.piccy.info]
(T) - 55, (S) - 25
Download[drive.google.com]

Option 3[i.piccy.info]
(T) - 50, (S) - 25
Download[drive.google.com]

What do you have to do with it? Go to the:
Your
Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod\cartographic_map.zip\gfx\FX\
and copy with replacement pdxmap.lua from our archive. Done!
Check the mod is enabled in game launcher and start!)

Also! If you personally want to play with the color settings, open bravely with any text editor (I strongly recomend Notepad++) pdxmap.lua and look for the line
float2 vBlend = float2

Change the value in brackets (first value is transparency, the second is saturation), restart the game and enjoy the result. So you can change the values in the other files: pdxwater.lua and standardfuncsgfx.fxh. Experiment! But be caerful or you will get SOMETHING LIKE THIS[i.piccy.info] :)

Friends, for God's sake, DO NOT FORGET TO MAKE A BACKUP! before your experiments.

And now let's praise together comrade In heaven for his wonderful mod!

Amen :)

sorry for my English
:)

Sorry that i didn't respond to your comment, nice job with saturation, people might find more saturated versions better suiting for them. :)

Thanks! Mod's great but i prefer vibrant colors, especially when the mod makes variants of white and light colors look really similar.

Um I dont know if anyone still watches these mods, but the links in this thread have been removed and I cant figure out what I need to change in the documents to do it manually.

Big thanks to @Aveliumar for making the tutorial. Very useful!

I prefer higher contrast and lower transparency, so here's my personal setting:

float2 vBlend = float2( 0.3f, 0.30f );

float2 vBlend = float2( 0.5f, 0.45f ) is also a good setting, because it keeps the general feel of the map while rising contrast a lot.

The sample links are broken.
