Bugfixing mod affecting linux
Hey there! This mod looks awesome!
having some issues with the shaders on the terrain as previously stated by the others :)
I tried to correct the path and case senitivity on linux. but I guess I should take a closer look at gfx/FX and try to debug it.
Where is the log file again? I have fixed other mods and games before, I could have a whack at it.

....
So I had a look at this. After removing pdxmap.lua from the mod.. the shadows seems to dissappear. then I added pdxmap.lua from
and copied pdxmap.lua from Novus Graphicus and it looks so much better from my point of view.
It's a temporary fix for me atleast, and it might also fix the mac for others who reads this.
...
Tomorrow(or soon™) I could try to have a look at the pdxmap.lua files and compare up how they work and perhaps make it perfect :D

For visual comparison of the files diffrences I would install a small lovely program called Meld[meldmerge.org]

So novus graphicus lua file works just fine and this one does not? Try notepad++ with compare plugin to compare two files. Have you tried manual download? Maybe steam workshop downloads corrupted lua file for you?

I downloaded it on another linux machine
It looks like this
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=518175736

With a copy of novus graphicus's pdxmap.lua overwriting this mod FX/pdxmap.lua
++ some very tiny changes

Starting the game with a modified In heavens Cartographic map mod actived and novus graphicus deactivated:
looks like this:

I know it looks a bit diffrent on the details, the colour blending is gone, other changes and improvements you have made are missing.
Not sure if you want to include these fixes in your patch... right now it's just an fix for the few of us who are affected.
Here is a picture to illustrate some of the diffrences with meldview

Well this code adds texture to map, it was added. Novus Graphicus lua file only changes brightness of map. I guess transparent political mapmode mod does not work either.

oh... Transparent political mapmods works for eu4 on linux systems.
I guess I am bad at explaining things, If I knew how this code worked on either games I could have fixed it. Textures modding is something I have yet to figure out.

I have the same problem on my mac by the way. Maybe this will help identify the issue ?

Just try the one I use and see if it works.

Of course it's not perfect, it lacks some features and details.

Yes, I just got the same problem. Start to happen after I've installed the latest NVIDIA Legacy Driver. Any ETA for a official fix?

wait a secound... somebody posted this
"To get this working on a mac, saw a post on reddit: Uncapitalize all files - Macs are case sensitive."
Linux is also case sensitive... that might work and officialy fix this. not much work either.

I'll try this later and post the results. Maybe can be a easy solution.

Thanks.

I've uncapitalized all the files and the bug stopped... But at the other hand the mod doesn't look at all with the windows version. I mean, the idea of the mod is to look good so I guess it lost it's purpose not having the same visual.

I'll try the fix then.

It looks diffrent to me too... bt i have an older version.
I seem to be experiencing the same issue too (black terrain as seen in first screenshot). Since no one has posted any logs yet, I'll take the liberty of posting my own in hopes it helps:

~/.paradoxinteractive/Crusader Kings II/logs/error.log (with GLSL errors)
http://pastebin.com/FtWdtccy

~/.paradoxinteractive/Crusader Kings II/logs/system.log (with supported extensions)
http://pastebin.com/djWKfKT3

Let me know if there's anything else that would be useful to provide. I really enjoyed using this mod with Windows, thank you for all your hard work!

Dropbox for 2 versions of lua file[www.dropbox.com] - please try them, most important is first one. Let me know if it works with it. Second one should be close to original but lack normal maps.
