he doesnt have a counter. most of his rockets can make it past an air blasting pyro with: splash damage, more spam, mobility of soldiers class compared to pyro, etc. (unless your going against a high end pyro then knock off a couple of things)
but that is not the focus. the focus was on Heavy, being able to counter soldier.
each class has a means in which they could choose a weapon to "counter a problem"
heavy has nothing to counter exsplosives, the fists of steel are a joke when a sticky and rocket can still knock you back until they kill you from a distance.
the brass beast doesnt matter when the enemy can peak a corner repeatedly and continue to spam.
heavy is (without a pocket) one of the weakest classes for his intended purpose, especially for most maps when it comes to competitive.
Giving heavy an anti spam weapon that does less damage helps whith the tanking aspect. of absorbing hits.
less hits = more damage to absorb.
I can see new players using this in dumb situations like against Sentry or another heavy.
Also a great counter to market gardeners and Ullapool cabers.
