Team Fortress 2

Team Fortress 2

Future Flier
Pushing limits
This is pushing the limits of when TF2 takes place.
This seems like something that you'd see if this game was based around the 2300s or something like that, it's just too futuristic.

It's a good taunt, but it's not set in the right time. Guess you outta go back to the future and keep this away from TF2.
Sorry

How is this too futuristic? We have laser pistols, a box that can heal people even a doctor that can heal you with a laser beam and still we have cosmetics that are futuristic too. So how is this too futuristic?

guys I get this game is not meant to be realistic but I still think a hoverboard taunt is too much
THERE ARE FLOATING BOXES THAT INSTANTLY HEAL PEOPLE
HOW IS THIS PUSHING LIMITS?

This taunt is fine.

If the Engineer can have a toolbox that unfolds into an active automated sentry gun capable of visual IFF, and if there's a mode entirely revolving around fighting a robot army, then this is just as okay.

My only complaint is the lack of sick hoverboard tricks.

I think its fine, and it would be nice to change things up a little bit..

For some reason, I feel like this taunt should have a reference to modern hoverboards, you know, the ones that catch fire if you use it for too long? Like, if you stop using it, it should catch fire with scout screaming one of his lines when pyro sets him on fire, and then flies directly into the sky, and when it hits the ceiling, and has a 80's explosion that's small where it won't touch anyone but it looks like a explosion from those VHS tapes with action movies.

In the tf2 world australia has flying cars in 1890, new zealand built a dome and sunk it self into the ocean, RED and BLU have bases in a asteroid (even though the map was never finished), so theres no problem for this to being in the game.

Pyro references Star Wars and Street Fighter with his taunts and the characters can wear things like Apple brand earbuds, and most people treat the game as being on a sliding timeframe of sorts anyway, but sure, a reference to Back to the Future 2 depicting something people in the 80s thought we'd have in 2015 is going too far.
