Suggestions
Try to keep it relatively simple.

Keep it pertaining to:

-Balance/Difficulty
-Layout
-Appearance
-The finale

Hey man, awesome map! I was just thinking for the finale instead of a fade to black after the attack chopper takes one for the team maybe add a door past where you get the RPG (to keep level design linear) that the chopper could crash into the wall, knocking it open and revealing the 2 people that we were sent to the russian coast to find. I really don't know if this sounds solid or not and I dont know if you know how to make choppers crash in specific places (I know theres a function somewhere that lets you...) but I feel as though this would make the finale more final, if that makes more sense.
Loved your maps since Dev Heist man, keep up the amazing mapping (if you so choose),

Hehe, funnily enough, that's actually my plan for the story~

I may not make it crash into the platform to unlock it though (It is currently set to crash into the further back crane, I hope to make that more spectacular). But we'll see, I may want to avoid something as arbitrary as the killcount in Raid.

i really like what you have done with the cranes as having them have snipers on top! i think it would be cool if you could say have support cables you can cut from where they're tied down from to knock down the tower "battlefield" style. This is a lot to ask so i wouldnt be suprised if hammer wouldnt allow it as i've heard hammer is very out-dated.

That's actually very clever, and I think it's great idea.

However, you are right, Hammer is very outdated- and something like that probably wouldn't function very well, and worse, would look really goofy in source. Still, I appreciate the input.

ok, i found this prop in hl2 files in gmod and its a breakable smokestack in the catagory: props_animated_breakable and the props in it were:

smokestack
smokestack_gib_01
smokestack_gib_02
smokestack_gib_03
smokestack_gib_04
smokestack_gib_05
smokestack_gib_06
smokestack_gib_07
smokestack_gib_08
smokestack_gib_09
smokestack_gib_10

those were all the props in that spawnmenu section of hl2 so ill se if i can find anything else and im sure you could use these props!

i have some more suggestions and props i have found in gmod files that dont need any extra games (like that smokestack)

in hl2 files there is that destructible smokestack prop and some others such as the props_rooftop props which had a lot of props that sould be used in a skybox oroutlining the outer walls in the crane area.

heres some suggestions:
the crane area needs to be much much larger to accomadate some medium range combat and vertical visibillity to kill the scanners that always sneak up on you this larger area of combat would also let the massive destructible smokestack prop to be incorporated into the area so there would be a "battefield style" destruction evernt after all! im still thinking how it should be destroyed such as; will it collapse into a pile of the gib props? or will it fall over and shatter into gibs on impact? also how it would be activated; should cables be cut or a generator to sabotage?

im always here to help you with idea so if you cant think of anything i can help!
im really looking forward to seeing this map be a map to always be installed like bigcity or gm_fork!
About the finale... weren't we supposed to save El Presidente and Larry? At least put some text in the end saying something like "El Presidente and Larry were held hostage in the chopper and almost died when it exploded, thankfully they survived and went back to the base"

When I get back to this there will certainly be more than a brief text message. I'm hoping I can make it a very interesting and fun ending to the series. For now, though, I'm trying to work on some new layouts to keep people entertained while I begin to paint in the missing detail in this heist. It's a slow process.

i think it would be interesting to see what El Presidente looks like although that would require more than just mapping unless hes just a citizen
