Suggestion.
First You should put a suggestions and bug discussion here and lock it near the top. Second what would be a great addition is like a nautical compass that pops up when you are on the barge. so that if you build a massive structure that blocks your view you can have a tribe member at the front shouting how many degrees to turn and you can turn your view to the right degree and then turn the barge. Otherwise there is only so much you can build before it becomes impossible to see where you are going.

This is true with any of the rafts tbh.

My suggestion (in addition to the deepwater version that can hold aquatic dinos I mentioned in the comments) would be to make the barge gate big enough for the barge to fit through.

It works okay right now, as long as you make sure all your dinos are towards the center (since the top has no collision at all), but that is the only difference between it and a metal behemoth gate.

For it to actually bit the barge through, I'd recommend making it twice as wide and twice as tall.
I do have one, but it's more bug related: having quetz to be able to land on the barges propperly. I've landed them on barges and they keep on "floating" on some kind of air and "hover" over and off the barge and/or structures you've built for them.

It'll also be nice if the collition on the barges work correctly, so you would be able to know when ur hitting shore. Otherwise like 80% of the barge would b inbedded into the shore with structures attached. At least make it so it'll slow down the progress of the barge moving "in land."

Final one: can you add some sound effects to the barge? Like waterboat sounds and/or large engine noises when you move fowards/backwards/idling. This will make the experience complete. And thanks for your hard work. :)

The Quetzal not being able to land on the barge is a result of the devs making it so the Quetzal can't land on platforms. Same thing happens if you try to land it on the vanilla raft.

In order to fix that, this mod would have to modify the Quetzal files, rather than just adding in rafts.

take the remote - cam and the televison . make the cam at the front. and use the television on behind. I did it but it had issuse.

it is not my mod but i only tested it with the raft together and great list of other mods. I like to mix it up. :D

Great mod love the reverse gear
Two suggestions to make it even more uber
1) Remote bridge, basically a ship wheel on a stand that can be placed anywhere on the raft structure and then becomes the default drive point
2) Autopilot- Just a basic one, enter GPS coords activate and it will attempt to move the raft in a direct line to the given coord. Any landmass in the way the player will have to plot waypoints manually and enter them one at a time. Once activated the player can then leave the control and the raft will continue on its way
Accessing the E menu from any point on the raft the player can deactivate and reactivate the pilot and as a safety precaution if the raft detects no occupants onbard the pilot shuts down.

i love this game realy, it becomes realy it becomes more and more intresting.

but i always have problems with driving left and right.
I kill fishes ok but also if there are obstacles, it is like on a Bronto in a Forest and with other Brontos around.

I would wish under the RAFT a thing like a HOVERCRAFT. For better contol. Or a upgrade possibility.
And yes a sight positon setting, before or behind (or under ??? hahaha). The TV System is helpfull but only a crutch.

Im ok with him modding the Quetzal so that it lands on the raft/barge!

I'd prefer an item that would allow you to relocate the helm to anywhere on the boat -- usually would be on the roof or in a forward-facing room (great with the glassmetal mod)

That would solve any visibility problem and would open up a bunch of great design options

I love this mod.. first one i put on my new server and forced the owner of my old server to put it on as well.. one thing it is lacking since the barge could become a mobile fortress and the only base you have is to be able to put water pipes on the barge .. don't mind if they are barge only pipes as long as i can grown plants on the barge!!!

it sucks that can't put behemoth walls/gates. On single player I tried to create an underwater pen under the barge but to many tiles slowed the frame rate. would it be to much to have a large-ish water pen under the barge or at least have a solid version of the barge gate?
