Bug Report and Mod compatibility list
If you think you found a Bug, post it in here with a short description and i will try to fix it.


This mod should work fine with all mods out there. I'm using this mod along with some other mods on my Server and i have no problems. Below is a my Modlist in the Order that the server is loading them.

  • Small Dragons
  • Aku Shima
  • Baby Dinos
  • Better Beacons
  • Metal with Glass Set
  • Better Lights

If you find out that the mod does collide with another mod that you're using, please post it here and let others know.


Known Bugs
  • The Texture of the Light is not being updated based on the light color.

I belive you did something wrong then, the mod works fine and the Summon commands also work fine. If the mod does not load, then the commands don't work. Also you can't see the Engrams then.
This is a great mod, but when I added it to my server, it removed the picture that appears when you look at dino for the beelzebufo, and removed the ocon that shows when a dino is in range of a feeding trough.

Some issues: we are able to learn and craft but can't place them down, the hologram outline shows up green but nothing happens when clicking . We currently have Aku shima,simple fences and mrradtools.inc content pack mod installed on the server, is this a compatibility thing?

This is a bug and i'm already working on it. I hope i get it fixed today.

Having some issues: we're running:
Glass Metal buildings
Better Beacons
Dino aphrodesiac
Dino detector
stairs mod (round)
better lights
better fence

the lights place and work properly, and all of the settings function fine. the problem is there seems to be an ultra-high-intensity white light coming out of the base of the omni lamps, as though they've got a misplaced lamppost light effect coming out of their base as well.
The look of a base lit up by the omni lamps is great, and you can put lighting from several angles, but the problem is that with this ultra glare, it thoroughly ruins the entire effect.
I'm pretty sure that's a bug, because it'd be pretty derpy if it wasn't.

The glare persists regardless of color change (glare is the true white of vanila lamps, it does not change with color) or intensity without changing. there's no way to turn off the effect except by turning off the lamp post itself

if you switch off the generator, the lights will go out but the light remains. only after a relog which is then light off. you will then switch the generator on, the lights go on but the light does not come here only after a relog. is also the lamps instead of relogs individually and to turn off so that the error is gone

Tried this mod, on it's own, on a 235.8 linux server. It removed all the custom paint, dino's and structures. Also turned some of the dino's thumbnail in its HUD to a white square (quetz, direwolf,..). Several engrams were also removed (tranq darts, greenhouse,..). All back to normal after mod was removed.

It's kinda unlikely that my mod does this because it just adds a few additional engrams, it does not alter the default core items in any way. The only thing i could imagine that may cause this is that it has not been compiled with the latest dev kit version. If theres a update for the dev kit i will recompile today.

I just installed your mod and the brightest setting is lower than the orginal lights. can you increase its brightness a little please. love the face that there are no cords and the colours are great.

Tried the mod again, twice actually. Once using ASM, once trough SteamCMD. This time on a completely freshly installed server. No old save game, no other mods, no nothing. Clean OS and all. As soon as I run this mod, same thing happens again. Engrams go missing, painted dino's loose their paint, and some thumbs are replaced with all white squares (im talking about the box that shows up when you get near to a dino where also the taming progress is shown) Also confirmed by other tribe members also testing. Plus at least one person saying the same thing in the comments section. 1000% sure when I say there is an issue with this mod. Feel free to PM me if you need further info. I know you said "kinda unlikely" that it is your mod, trust me, it is.

Are you using the latest dev kit?

I'm using the latest DevKit, but i will definitely take a look into that issue. I will try to reproduce it, using a fresh Server and ASM/SteamCMD

add pin code for remote toggling please! these lights are AWESOME! And, if possible (I know it's more work so I have low hopes) make a shortened version of the omni light for single floor levels, since the normal one sticks up thru the ceiling.

The last update fixed everything for us! Whatever you did fixed it. Thanks so much. Finally some good looking lights in this game. Absolutely love this mod. And thanks so much for getting rid of the powerlines.
