how does save our saves work?

how do you use the save our saves mod? do you leave it on in the options content manager all the time or just when a save is lost? is it a recovery thing or a prevention thing?

It's a recovery thing. Enable it only before loadinga save you need to fix. After save game is (hopefully) successfully loaded, save the game, and disable this mod.
