LOOOOOOOONG REVIEW
Alright alright alright... Blast... where should we start?

First of all, this is probably the best and most enjoyable and considerable Demolition map i have ever played! New Design, that still relies on the old theme of De_dust1 and Shortdust, new mechanics, such as the blowable entrance door to the bombsite and wide and open corridors both teams can enter.

First Impression

I wasn't expecting a lot at first, considering it was a somewhat "broken" (heh, see what i did there) map. No actual ways of getting nades into play, enemies snuck onto your ass WAYY too quick and passages are way too close to each other. Well, that's what i thought.

Starting off from the t spawn, you got the option to either go straight to the side, or jump up a little ledge to check out the good ol' de_dust1, which is an amazing feature of Blast, considering it is the opening of the "old" A Bombsite (correct me if i am wrong), making it like a new passage. The Detail around T-Spawn is set quite well, which reminds me a lot of the lower part of dust 1 (The Jeep is still chilling down there, which is a nice feature!). I instantly ran forwards, standing behind a closed door. I got confused. "was that it?" i asked myself. Getting close to the door set a bomb to it, blowing the wall off. "Woah.." is an impression to describe it. Something NEW, for once! Walking in, you are directly at the bombsite, a staircase leading up a level to the right and some place around the main lobby to chill around is there too. For some reason, i had a feeling i was being in a combination of both Nuke and Season. Technology and parts of a darker environment. AWESOME! (There's even a little fortklift on the left, pretty cool too!) Heading up the stairs, I got a little jumpscare. To my right, a somewhat garage entrance tried to open, but failed. I looked under it, watching parts of the outside world. Leaving again, the garage entrance shuts and closes again, which is a cool feature too (There's a lot of them, so i won't go into too much depth with them!). A PC Monitor is set to a higher platform, facing the entrance the t's use. Walking up more, you get the first few of an office and an entrance to it. Entering the door, you got 3 options: Moving to the right, which brings you to an office, moving forward, which lets you drop down to a jeep and left, which brings you to another staircase downstairs. The Staircase had doors on some walls, which weren't accessable, and seemed a bit off. I had no clue where they would lead, so that bothered me a little. Walking back, i went into the office. A little Toilette room and the ct spawn, combined with a working place connected to the bombsite had a taste of CS_Office, which is another cool thing. Continuing to walk forward, you had a little storage room with another garage gate, which lead to the bombsite again. That's it so far.

Deeper Look

Walking around the map more made me realise that Blast is more of a map combination of all different styles, some parts taken from Office, some from Dust, some from Season and Nuke. Close to the first entrance to the bombsite for the T's, you got a little vent, which was another way to enter the bombsite. Issue is, if you walked through it, you could easily get picked by a CT chilling outside of the vent. (Detail of it is great though!) To the left of the T entrance, there's a broken door, which can not be entered, which bothered me a lot. It'd be more interesting to basically see 3 attack points for the T's instead of only one in actuality. (The vent is not a good attack point since you can easily get picked out of it.) Next to the walls, there are ladders which lead up to 2 HUGE vents. You can look through them and spot through it. Going into the side, i realised that you could easily enter the vents, so i understood why the ladders were added to the entrance. Having the vents as a camping spot for CT's is cool to see, and it's balanced since the T's can check it early on. Also, the right hand vents to the bombsite didn't have a entrance at the lowest Level (could potentially add a photo of where another entrance could be). But in deeper look, i haven't seen much more, except the accessability of the huge vents.

Overall Feeling

Right now the map seems heavily CT sided, since the T's only have one good attack point. Kinda upsetting, yet this map is still in development, which gave me a reason not to hate on it. Blast is an amazing Map with a lot of potential, overall i felt this map was really well made.

Conclusion

To sum it up, here are the Pro's and Con's of the map

Pro's

-High combination of map ideas
-New mechanics added
-Accessability to all different kind of spots
-Gates!!!
-One Simple bombsite
-Bright environment

Con's

-Not enough attack points for terrorists
-heavy CT side/ Easy to cover the site for CT's
-A few detail issues (such as doors being placed where none should be [Corridor])

Summary

To wrap it up, an amazing map. I love the concept of it and Would LOVE to see it as an offical Demolition map, when Blast gets a little bit more balance!

Ending

So, that was my summary and my impression of Blast! If you liked my Review, make sure to comment! If you did like it, make sure to tell me more maps to review on! It was a pleasure to review an amazing map like Blast! :)
