I'll start working on it soon!

I don't know if it's really major but on the part of the cliff where you use the rocks to climb up, some of the rocks are slightly difficulty to grab onto and you have to kind of jump around them and then grab on... or maybe i'm just bad at parkour xD

I find this area kinda bad optimized . My frames drop like crazy , if I look at anything else is just fine . Don't know... maybe because of all that vegetation . Maybe you should remove a bit of it . My friend has the same problem and we don't have low end pc's :P .

@☢Silver Fiddle☢ - What are your PC Specs? (Your Friend's Specs as well if you can get them). Need to try and figure out a benchmark for the fps lag.

Same for me, but my pc isn't the best anyway. Overclocked GT 630 with double fan cooling (soon to get an upgrade there, the overclocking is burning my video card) Even though i have 30-35 FPS around everywhere else in the map i go down to 15-20 in the specified area.

Okay, I will see what I can do about the affected area without imapcting the visual fidelity.

Well , mine are : I5 4690K , GTX 750 and 8 GB ram .
Friend : I7 4790 , GTX 960 and same as me , 8 GB ram .

Interesting, I'm running an i7 4770k, R9 290, and 8 GB RAM with a constant 60 fps. Which isn't far off what you guys have, you shouldn't be experiencing this lag.
@Rabid Squirrel Just a few mhz more can change things from lagging to smooth, I have two computers next to me with the only difference being 100mhz between the processors, the lesser lags on everything and the greater as no issues. So could simply be that.

Hey man,

So while doing some testing today I noticed the Dip you were talking about. Mine went to 30 fps and sat there, so I Alt-Tab'd to check my GPU temps and when I Alt-Tab'd back in suddenly everything was fine, back up to 60 fps no problem. So next time you play could you check if Alt-Tabbing out, then back in again fixes the problem?

However, in the meantime I am currently working on an Optimisation patch.

Sorry for using a description instead of a pic, but I think the Towers add a really awesome dynamic, but there's so much unused area that after the flooding, the map can feel cramped.

THESE ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS

Facing the Bell tower from the radio tower, the right side could use maybe a mid sized building with ziplines to it from the 2 high towers, and from it to the land. This will help reduce the swim of shame duration

Standing on the bell tower facing the radio tower, to your back right in the water, there is a huge amount of unused space as well. maybe a similar treatment, or a mountain with a lot of climbable rocks

speaking of which, a lot of the rocky areas are very clunky. You want to be able to run, vault, and climb up a lot of those areas, but the way they are coded won't let you. Maybe more climbing rocks, a small shack to climb on and go in, or some slightly smoother terrain.

anyways, EXCELLENT MAP. Thank you so much for the work you have done, and I look forward to what you decide to do!

Didn't really do anything for me sadly :c .
When do you think the optimisation patch is going to be out ? Even with that inconvinience I still find it fun to murder my friends xD (in-game ofc:P) . So yeah , I'm waiting ^^ .

Hi all,

I have just patched the map to v0.3.5.8, with the patch comes a potential performance fix. All I did was reduce the Amount of trees on map by about 30% (Give or take 50 trees). So the visual fidelity of the map is still there. Anyway, test it out, and report back. Hope this fixes the issue.

Cheers,
Squirrel.

Hey, I don't know if you've fixed this issue with having to swim into battle yet because I had it as well, but maybe what you could do is have lots of ,wait quest objectives as the flood rises and at specific times, de-activate the spawnpoint out in the water and then activate spawnpoints closer to land, so as the map gets smaller, people keep on spawning on the remaining land and don't have to swim back to the map
