EEM is a space only mod for now. So, it won't add much of anything to your current setup. However, when nyou get to space, you'll see a completely different game. There are factions (some friendly, some not), wars are a thing (attack a friendly faction, invoke the police / military), limited trading with some trade stations, and basically just some idea of life around you (random ship spawns). For your planetary needs, look up the Modular Encounters Collection / Air Traffic / Planetary Encounters. Meridius has done a great job allowing authors to use his framework to add some lively planetary content.
