How long does it take for distress signals to spawn reinforcements?

I want to go against the warning of the author and try to take on the entirety of the SEPD, but it takes more than a few minutes to spawn reinforcements which makes me think that the mod may be broken. How long do I Have to wait, is there a way to adjust it?
