[EEM] Exploration Enhancement Mod
Server Sim Speed "Stuttering"
Hi, I'm having a ServerSimSpeed issue. Still troubleshooting but let me just ask in the off chance someone else has had this issue too. I have been playing on a DS (hosted at home on the same LAN) for weeks with this mod and several others. Up until today i have had abolutly no issues, server sim is a solid 1.0. However i jump on today and every 2-3 seconds it drops down to .7 then goes back up to 1.0. i have done the following.

1) removed all objects from my world (Floating objects, and grids all that is left is planets)
- Issue present
2) removed all mods
- Fixed
3) Added all mods except EEM
- Fixed
4) Added EEM and removed all other mods
- Issue present

I'm going to start playing with the planets and see if i cant get it to stop stuttering. Has anyone else had this issue?

So if the world is now completely empty there is no way i see that this issue is caused by EEM, maybe the last SE update broke something in the game causing this...gonna watch out for that on our DS too.

Well if you remove the EEM mod it goes away. I'm wondering if it has something to do with spawning in cargo ships? Maybe its having a issue selecting a spot or something. Is there any other debugging tool i can use other than the in-game hud?

Just tried the following
7) Loading world with EEM but Cargo ships, Random Encounters, Drones turned off
- Issue still present
I tried turning off a couple more settings to, issue is still present.

And to clarify mahtrok, I love this mod and i am very grateful for the amount of effort you are putting into it. I understand that this game has a tendency to break thing, i was just looking to see if you knew why these things were happening. They are only present with your mod. It is worth noting that i experienced this issue once before this, and resolved it by starting a new world and copying the existing grids to the new world. That was weeks ago.

P.S.
It seems the "Update lag" increases at the time of the sim slow down.

Ok i don't know if i fixed it, but i got the sim rate to stop stuttering, here is what i did.

I opened up the Sandbox.sbc and noticed that the "MissionTriggers" section was huge there are around 1,200 mission triggers. Thinking that maybe they "trigger" at the same time that could cause the sim slowdown. So i deleted them, now there is no sim slow down. I started enabling settings in the world, adding planets back, added grids back. All is fine, no more sim slowdowns.

Did i "fix" it? Or did i break something by removing all the mission triggers? I'm going to play around a bit more.

What are the mission triggers? is that something left over from the "Scenario Star System" world template?

Hey, can you try do the following - unpack mod to new folder in mods section (making it local), navigate in "data" and remove "scripts" folder - check if issue still there :)

If the problem is still not resolved?
Hopefully because it is a good mod.

I have had same issue. I have gone in every time and looked for floating objects, moving objects, and big grid objects. Each time I have serious server sim speed issues it is because of players and/or NPCs have had battles with large stations and or ships. The wreckage which is left behind starts cause collision issues with the server attempting to calculate the physics from damage and what not but for some reason is unable to finish the calculations so the server CPU becomes bogged down with data attempting to flood the CPU's. I have then removed these objects and Server Sim Speed returns to normal.

Check your server for busted up stations with floating parts in them and you will have your culprits. Just remove them and if its re-spawns find it and remove it.
