helmet key?
couldn't find this one. searched over the mansion multiple times, every door i ran into was either unlocked, locked from behind, or required the knight helmet key. also the passcode door. but still, i couldn't find this one anywhere.

go for fuel (not red can)
then go to the fountain with plants
go to the generator put the fuel in it

didnt u know that the helmet key is on the one with the plants and other vines right there my the fireplace if u know it already just asking if u already found that helmet key.

Ok Steam forgot the notifications here. I missundetood, the HELMET key is in map 2 when you fight the tank/plant42. Btw, seems that you didnt get the point of map 1: when you find the 4 crests you are able to go to the saferoom, why were you still searching the Helmet key if you didnt need it? :chris:

The helmet key is found in the map #3, when you get BACK to the mansion to get another item to proceed BACK AGAIN to map 2 (technically, 4).

You visit map 1 and map 2 twice. It's a small world.

The key is in a big room with plant 42, make sure you're well armed and have a first aid kit handy BEFORE you pick it up.
