Hi there everyone,


This post is created for everyone that’s having crash issues and/or getting their items removed with each update. I’ll handle each topic seperatly in this post, so make sure to check it out if you’re experiencing one of these issues.


CRASHES
If your game keeps crashing, then this is because the data of your Ark installation or the mod is corrupted, either on your server or on your local client. You can exclude who by determining if nobody can connect to the server, or only some.

If nobody can connect to the server, then the cause is with the server. If only a few cannot connect with the server, then the cause is with the client that’s trying to connect or the server running an older version then the current update of either Ark or a mod.

You can fix this by doing the following:
NOTE:1) Unsubscribe from the mod (this will make sure Steam doesn’t download it when doing the other steps)

2) Remove the mod folder from your Local or Server directory, which can be found by default at:
..\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Mods
There you will find two types of files with the name (ID) 538986229, make sure to remove them both.

3) Re-subscribe towards the mod and wait patiently until Steam (or SteamCMD) has finished downloading it. Depending on the hardware of your PC and your internet connection speed, this might take a while.

4) If you’re using a local server or a FTP server, make sure to copy the downloaded directory from your local drive to your Ark Server directory.

5) Check and make sure that the mod is loaded first, otherwise it will not work as intended.

6) Startup the server and wait for it to properly load. This process can also take a while, again depending on both your Hardware and your Internet Connection Speed.

7) If you’re running a clean slate, the world will automatically be repopulated with the entries from the mod, otherwise you’ll need to login and enter as an Administrator: admincheat destroywilddinos wait for it as you might get disconnected (which is normal so don’t panic), whereby you can after a few minutes login back again.

8) Enjoy the mod on your server/local host!

CREATURES & ITEMS WIPED
If you’re experiencing that everytime you log into your game, all creatures/items/engrams regarding the Annunaki Genesis mod are removed, you’ll need to validate a few steps in order to prevent this from happening again!

When a new update arrives, let it first download/install via Steam. When done, startup Ark and you’ll see in the lower-right corner of the screen “installing 1 mods Annunaki Genesis”. WAIT in the main menu until that is gone, before you continue to click on connect/host/etc.


SINGLE PLAYER/CO-OP
When this is done, go to host and make sure Annunaki Genesis is in your load order. For some reason Ark removes it from the load order, which is most of the time caused when a player has installed new mods since their last play session. We can’t fix this, as this is done by design core and not by modding.

If you’ve properly setup the mods in the appropriate load order (with Annunaki Genesis loaded first), you are free to start the game without any items/creatures/engrams being removed!


SERVER
If you are server owner and are experiencing this problem as a client (a person who tries to connect to their server) make sure the server has both the same ARK Official version as the Annunaki Genesis version before you connect. Otherwise you’ll get a timeout displaying a mismatch or a possible crash, which indicates a synchronization error.

Now you’re all setup and ready to go exploring the Ark with Annunaki Genesis!
