How to change the direction of straight battlement ("e" doesn't work)?
I build a large castle wall arround my castle. But now I want to finished the walls and I can only place the battlement on top in the wrong directions?!

Normally you can push "e" and the building stuff change the direction (like stone or thatchwalls).

Here with the straight battlement it did not work! Any Idea? I Don't want to destroy the whole walls....

Anyone has a hint to turn the battlement structure?

ok I found an answer. You have to change the directions of the Walls with "e" first! But you cannot see wihch direction the wall is set in green light, also after it was setting on the foundation. Only if you want set thebattlement on the top, it is a lottery which dierection it will set....

The walls are missing a clear structur in the wall ! without it you are not able to controll the right snap! Many recoursen are lost if you fail with the right side of setting! too bad for lonley settlers on ark :steamfacepalm:

Hey, I had the same problem today and found a reasonable way to work with it:

when you have the green light of the wall before you place it, you can see some building parts ,which you already placed, at the corners of the green light wall. when you press E to rotate the wall, the "shining through" objects move just a VERY TINY bit left or right. When you press E and the objects move to the right, you can place the wall and the battlements (Which you place on top of the wall) will not face you but the other side. When the objects move left when you press E the battlement will face you when you build it.

I hope you understood my explanation and good luck!
PS: I lost a lot of stone just because of this problem :D

Are these placed on wall foundations? On castle foundations, the snaps are always correct unless you accidently hit e when placing the wall. When you use wall foundations, though, you have to watch the bottoms of them. I put small blocks on the wall foundation to indicate which was the outside and which was the inside. When you snap a wall to that wall foundation, it will default with the 'outside' of the wall to the outside of the wall foundation, so if you laid them backwards, you will want to snap the wall to the wall foundation, and hit e once before placing. One side has an I, the other side an O. Hope that helps!
