NEW HEALTH VALUES FOR SERVER ADMINS
Hello users! I wanted to give everyone a heads up concerning a new feature coming with tonight's patch. Server admins will be able to change the health values to pieces from my mod by adding two lines to an ini file!

1. Locate your GameUserSettings.ini
2. Edit that file and add these two lines to the very bottom of the file:

[hogscraper]
CastleHealthModifier=1

3. Save and close that file.
4. Run your sever

By default, the mod will run with no changes to the health of your castle pieces. They will only change if that value is added. The value can range from .01 to 100 and basic error checking is installed. Please be aware I couldn't possibly test every character you can add and have no idea what issues it can cause to your game, your server or even your family pets if you put something other than a number between .01 and 100.

The value represents a multiplier to the castle pieces' health and after you have changed them, you can return to the default values by using CastleHealthModifier=1

Once a value is added, every structure in my mod, (decorations like scones and thrones aren't part of this system), will remember the value you set. Please be aware that if you add or change the modifier it will heal all structures on your server to the new max health. I did this for consistancy when changes the modifier but wanted to make sure admins were aware as this could severely impact pvp situations if the numbers are changed frequently.

Again, please be aware that you do not need to do this if you do not want to modify the health values of my structures. Just keep using the mod as you always have and the max health values will not be altered. Please post any questions you have in this discussion as I hope to add more functionality to this system as time goes on.

Thanks again for everyone who uses this mod!

What would be a similar strength to metal?
hogscraper  [developer] 24 Jan, 2016 @ 10:14am
This isn't for strength of the structure, just how many hit points it has.

Hello!
I just recently came back to Ark after a few month break. I put your mod onto my newly re-started server; but have yet to craft any pieces (low level still). I have admin logging on, so im against using spawn commands to test this myself. I realize I could test this in singleplayer; but i figured it would be a time saver for me to simply ask for confirmation. 8P

I have experience with structure HP settings; and plan on boosting the HP of your structures on my server via this post.

However, i want to confirm if they are identical in protection to Stone, as in, standard Dino's cannot damage them? are they only susceptible to giga/siege/explosive/alphas like standard stone walls?

TYVM in advance!

I believe the setting is BrokenByExplosivesWeakMetalDamage on my pieces and that should be the same as the vanilla stone pieces. I think it takes 8-10 C4's to take down a Castle Wall with default health values.

TYVM! That's pretty much exactly what I needed to know 8P !

1. Locate your GameUserSettings.ini
2. Edit that file and add these two lines to the very bottom of the file:

[hogscraper]
CastleHealthModifier=1

3. Save and close that file.
4. Run your sever

Is there a way for material costs!?
hogscraper  [developer] 30 Mar, 2016 @ 3:28pm
No, the devs have said they will not be allowing us to do that.

Hi, first i am sorry for my english. I love your mod but i can't change heal values, i following your instruction but no effect :

1. Locate your GameUserSettings.ini
2. Edit that file and add these two lines to the very bottom of the file:

[hogscraper]
CastleHealthModifier=0.01

3. Save and close that file.
4. Run your sever

if 1 is the normal value, 100 lvl up value and 0.01 reduce this value ??
hogscraper  [developer] 3 Jul, 2016 @ 11:04am
@Asceltis: .01 is not a value between .01 and 100.
Asceltis 3 Jul, 2016 @ 11:07am
sorry, but i don't undestand your sentence Oo good value are : 1, 2, 3, ..... 100 ?? or 0.1, 0.2, .... 100 ?? or 0.01, 0.02,... 100 ??
if 1 is normal value (150 000hp), 100 is biggest value and the structure's heal will are150 000 x 100 ??

The value you type there is multiplied by the piece's normal health value. 1=normal, .5=half.

=1 Castle Wall 100,000 hit points
=.5 Castle Wall 50,000 hit points
=50 Castle Wall 5,000,000 hit points
.01 < your number < 100

Change that value to .011 to see the minimum hit points you can have.

I cant use this configuration.

I put this two lines at bottom of my gamesetting.ini and i resstart the server or save changes,

When i came to my gamesettings.ini this lines dissapear...

Dont know why.....

The only time I've seen that was when the header was wrong and it deleted everything below that point.

[hogscraper]
CastleHealthModifier=4
AAM_Allow_Pickups=1

That was at the bottom of mine so make sure you don't have a spelling mistake in what you're copying. Also make sure that whatever is above it is also working properly as one character where it shouldn't be can break the chain. What value are you using?
