How should the trapdoors be used with no snap points?
I noticed the thread about snap points. I was curious though, what is the function of the trap doors in this mod if you can't attach anything to them in order to climb down/up through the trap door? Am I missing a piece that is in the set maybe?

The Ceiling with Offset Hatchway has four snap points but I have never gotten two of them to work so two orientations with that piece are no good. The Ceiling with the center hatchway should take the trapdoor no problem, though. If you use that piece, ladders have to snap to the foundation below the hole and built up. Hatches are currently on the table to be redesigned. I've been having some issues getting the ladders to snap to the ceilings without causing issues with everything else that snaps to it.

Ok. I haven't had many issues with the hatches snapping. I will try building the ladder up from the floor.

Thanks, for the response.

Also, is there any thing in the notes about adding an outside curved corner battlement, for those structures that only have 2 curved foundations attaching to a square section, rather than the entire full circle?

Part of the redesign is making the hatch mesh so you can interact with it while on the ladder. There should be a curved walkway in the mod that does what you need.

Ok, I will try the curved walkway tonight. Thanks for the update. Looking forward to the stream tonight, hopefully I can make it.

I found a way that will allow ladders to snap to the trapdoor instead of the ceiling. I added two snap points to the Trapdoor itself, as well as two metal blocks that stick out slightly on the sides. This allows players to 'see' the trapdoor while on the ladder and a menu can be brought up to open or close it.

awesome, looking forward to the patch!

I'm having trouble placing the big hatchframe itself, it will not snap to the adjacent ceiling tiles, just forever float above my head
