Objectification
While the hood feature on this set is very nice the rest of it crosses the line of whats "pretty" and what is blatantly objectifying Linas body. I'm certain I'm not the only one who is upset over and disturbed by the inappropriateness of this set, and i would like to believe the author is willing to take necessary steps to making it appeal to more then the 20 year old virgin men who drool over any inch of skin left showing on a females body.

Well, Valve won`t add this anyway, since they didn`t add that one DP set

Let`s face the truth: both these artworks have nice elements (hair, hood) but they are too fanservice based, which leads to crossing the sexualising line, which is restricted by Dota 2 policy.
Whatever, i don`t want to see Dota turning into League of plebs, where all girls are booty delivering objects.
And since i don`t want to appear to people here being a whining troll, here`s the solution: keep the original model piece for her torso and belt. Then it will be completely okay.

Hi Save the Pangolins. I was aiming to make a Arabian nights inspired costume for Lina. Having an open belly midriff fits the theme. It certainly wasn't my intention to sexualize this set.

I'm rather surprised at all the comments regarding it's sexyness. Besides the belly I haven't added any more open skin then what is already on the base Lina model. Phantom assassin, Windranger, Enchantress, Naga Siren all have open bellies in sets and Queen of Pain is even in a bikini. Is a belly really regarded as too sexy?

I understand that points of view are very individual, and I have to accept that others may see things differently to myself. Please at the very least take my apology if the set has offended you, it wasn't my intention to sexualize the set. I made sure while developing the set to show it to a number of female and male artists and friends to make sure it wouldn't be perceived as too sexy. Given feedback by yourself and others on steam I'll be looking into making a second version of the corset without an open belly soon.

Why do you have to give in to these crazy people that make fundamentalist Muslims look liberal in comparison? The more you give in to their crazy demands, the worse they're going to get. Soon they are going to complain when you show as much skin as the base set, claiming you should do your job as a decent human being by "fixing Valve's mistake".

Next thing you know you'll hear complaints if you ever release a Lina set where she is not wearing a burqa.

Burqa Lina set incoming? On second thought I might actually buy that -- sounds neat -- fundamentalist sexual repression here we come!

I've always believed that people are allowed the right to be offended and have a polite expression of their opinion. Living in a very liberal culture myself, accepting peoples points of views both those that agree and disagree with my own is a fundamental part in our freedom of expression.
We don't all have to agree with each other. Myself I don't feel the set is too sexy, however I can see how some people might feel it is. We shouldn't be offended by peoples right to have an differencing opinion.
I don't feel that I would be "giving in" by adding an alternate style. I always had an alternate concept for the belly ready to be modelled if the feedback recommended it. Hopefully in a couple days it should be finished and both versions should cover the varied tastes and views of the majority of viewers.

I think it said somewhere that he would add a style where it covers Lina's stomach

Hey! That looks amazing. I hope your set gets into dota. I would totally buy it if it does!

Thanks for everyone's feedback!

Hi all I appreciate the feedback from everyone, however I have no wish to see the thread turn into a bashing of each others views and opinions, to which every person is entitled to have. The OP's issue has been resolved with an alternate belly design added to the set. Therefore I am locking the thread.
