Mount & Blade: Warband

The Conquerors of Coultchorn Beta 1.1
Review
My first comment after playing this mod for an evening was that I was pretty disappointed with it. Well, I've got a couple updated comments after playing the game for quite a bit longer. Admittedly, I wasn't happy at all in the beginning of the game. I was hoping to play a no cheat run with my return to M&B after watching Berserk and needing to lead my own mercenary company. I stand by this, a no cheat run is impossible, the early game is busted with big bands of elite units able to kill in one hit and taking as many blows as it would to fell a tree. Then I turned on cheats and actually had some fun. You need to be cheating to get anywhere in this mod, as elite units arn't even the same species as you or lower level troops, and there's like nothing but elite enemies. Once you cheat to hit their level, the game becomes enjoyable as it has a huge variety of great gear (some of which don't look so great, and some of which have stupidly detailed thumbnails that take the game forever to load) it has a ton of great submods, and it has a unique world, even if the bits of lore in there are a little rambly and all found with three characters or so. I did have a bug with the Mythmir quest to slay the Witchmen, I found their band, supposably "found" their hideout, but the quest was stuck on stage one not recognising that I turned it in to the guy in the tavern. Ultimately though, I've been playing this mod when playing M&B. Its really expansive with alot of features and a cool fantasy setting. Its still in Beta obviously, but its just a bit too obvious, with a lack of balance between units and gear and barely there lore that could be written better.

I'd recommend it.
