Official Bug Report Discussion

If you encounter a bug while playing, please let me know here! This mod is still in beta and there are bound to be difficulties, so give me a holler if there's something that needs fixing in the next version.

PLEASE READ THE FAQ BELOW BEFORE POSTING:

Bug FAQ:

Q: It crashed on startup! No error message or an RGL or "runtime error".
A: Due to the mod's size and the large amount of unused texture files the game is attempting to load before startup, some lower-end or 32-bit systems suffer memory errors that cause the game to close. As a result, try turning on "load textures on demand" in the game's launcher and lowering your graphics settings before launch.

Q: All the female lords look the same!
A: A lot of them do. This is because their default "male" facial codes were bugged when I made them women. So I set them all to the default "bald" one to avoid crashing. The next update should change their face codes to add diversity.

Q: When completing "Upon Mammon", I can't continue the quest! The guy in the tavern just says "we know where they are" before the dialogue box closes.
A: The quest is a work in progress. Part 2 will be added in a coming update. Until then, there will be no continuation to the quest.

Q: The enchanter in Wolf's Tooth has no items in his inventory!
A: Sorry! His stock hasn't been added yet. Don't let that old creep bamboozle you into giving him a precious Seadragon Crystal.

Q: Waiting until tomorrow during a siege is bugged.
A: That's a noted bug, there is no fix other than good-old-fashioned waiting in the camp menu.

Q: Bandits only target the player!
A: They haven't been coded to have any negative relations with the 6 main factions yet. Until the next patch you're roughing it alone!

Q: I read the "Ammonese Tome" book and it says I can use magic. Where's the magic?
A: Yikes! That's an old feature I never implemented. That's just some flavor text right now, the book doesn't actually do anything.

Q: Outposts/forts are bugged!
A: Yeah, that's a headscratcher for me. The menu code I suspect is the suspect and it must've gotten bungled up in one of my earlier experiments. I'm currently looking into it.

Non-bug FAQ:

Q: How do I get Seadragon Crystals?
A: Defeat the leader of an invading army and capture them as you would a normal lord. The leader must be above 20% hp before the battle begins for you to have a chance at capturing them. After they are captured, talk to them in the prisoner menu and reap the rewards!

I bought some nobles off the blue faction christ cant remember the name, 2 for 400 each... lost 1600 so they are in fact 800 each xD

Noted! Should be an easy fix, thanks for the report. Until then you'll have some deceptively expensive noble troops!

Hey, enjoying the mod so far, I've noticed however that whenever I try to demolish a created outpost the game crashes.

Interesting! I'll have to look that one up, it may have something to do with a game menu issue I inadvertently caused.

Yup! I still don't quite know what causes it, but if I have to reconfigure companion dialogues from the ground up to stop it I will! It might be a lengthy process, though, and the problem seems to run deep. My two best guesses are that it's caused by either a dialogue error or a string error. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for letting me know.

I've noticed that archers don't switch back to their ranged weapons after having to deal with anything at melee range. It's getting a bit annoying, having to constantly command them to switch back.

Aside from that, does it just take an extremely long time for villages to spawn more recruits, or do I need to be sworn to the faction that village belongs to collect more?

I'm pretty sure the archer thing is caused by the battle orders mod I have installed. It's a bit annoying, I imagine, I'll see what I can do. Also, if village recruits don't spawn semi-regularly that may be a problem, indeed. If I'm not mistaken it should take maybe 3 days to respawn recruits (I think I may have changed it to that at some point)? I'm probably misremembering things, but thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Apparently a lot of people are having similar problems caused by steam updates, etc. If all else fails, you can register on TaleWorlds' website to exchange your Steam Warband key for a download of Warband that should work independently of Steam.

When I try to explore my fort (updated outpost) I just crash. Maybe garrisoning was the problem?

Outposts and forts seem to be quite the issue! I'll need to look into that. If you encounter any more problems with the feature I encourage you to get back to me here! If you can, list off the order of events leading up to the crash, it'll help me narrow down the cause some. Thank you for the report!

Yeah, it's been about 22 in-game days since I recruited from a bunch of villages, and none of those villages have respawned their pool of recruits.

Knocked out Brenin Aneirin Kadwalladar in a tournament and he seems to be one badass guy, cause I got 26k xp O.O

i managed to run this smoothley, played it for most of the day since it came out, managed to get an army of 40 medium to high leveled men, BUT.... i got a ship, went to saild from Norfolk, or whatever it is, i then went back to the Nor port, adn it crashed on me trying ot go back to port. Please Help

Narfolk has a bug where landing there causes the game to hang for a minute or two. I think it's caused by its distance from the water? Anyhow, thanks for the report, it was somewhere in the back of my mind.

I think that's a bug caused by him being over level 60. If that's the case, it should happen when you defeat any king/queen in battle. Tournaments are veritable gold mines until it's fixed, I guess!

Now that's a real serious issue. I'll have a look as soon as I can and fix that. Whoa, in all my playtesting I must have missed that entirely. Thank you very much for the report!
